  1. So there is a pair of KHorns and amplifier for sale on AGon, $7K. All new special speaker wiring and capacitors and the included 250wpc Parasound amp. The reason for the "massive overkill" is so the speakers arent fried by having delivered a "square wave" from the amp. Huh! I'll admit to not being the sharpest knife in the drawer but I'm lost. So I guess I'm sure to fry my KHorns by delivering a wimpy 3.5 watts from my 2a3's? I guess I've been going about high effiency speakers all wrong, back to the drawing board.
  2. I know for the 15-20 people in my group at the Hope listening room where Palladiums and RF7ll's were compared no one said the Palladiums were anywhere near worth the $$ difference between the two. $$$ for $$$ the RF's were a bargain and I believe more folks liked the RF's for sonics over the Palladiums.
  3. Yeah, I had read that, but it would have been nice if she had been in the picture too. The BOSS needs a selfie stick. Or another one that isn't battery operated, if you know what I'm saying  Mark What I really need is a Taser for a$$holes Oh - so you yearning to be a proctologist --?!
  4. But more importantly, much more, it's the last day you can use your Costco American Express cards at Costco. Cut 'em up at midnight folks.
  5. What, the censors deleted the word bittch? That's a bit much isn't it as I've seen more descriptive verbage used, with correct spelling I might add, that were not censored. Aren't there more pertinent issues to watch after other than the simple name of a female dog? Give me a break ---- Oh that's right; add a letter or two and all is good. Give me a second break ---
  6. Oldtimer is spot on - bitchers *****, its what they do. Gives them a sense of empowerment since they rarely have anything good to say about anything. The satisfied customers go about their lives satisfied they got their monies worth and don't feel the need to make themselves more important than they are via the interweb. You remain in business from these customers and most chronic bitchers are easily seen through. Good luck --
  7. Brand new speakers, yep someone needs to make this right. Dealer, Klipsch whoever. I agree with Mung - if they can't replace a grill frame on a new speaker than sorry, I need another pair of speakers. A repair is out of the question; had you wanted to do repair, touch- up work you would have bought used and saved thousands.
  8. Very Formula 1'esque, very cool.

Agreed CEC, it takes special people for such work. My daughter in law works nursing in the cancer ward at Children's Mercy in KC, about 10 years now. She has just found another job, matter of fact her last day was yesterday, as the toll of seeing these kids day after day has finally taken a toll on her. I think it grew tougher on her coming home and seeing her perfectly healthy two year old being a normal, playful two year old.
  10. A modern day Socrates you ain't.
  11. Huh? Miss the point much. Pay better attention to the idiotic remarks made by you and jweber. Your "funnies" were about the little boys death. Politics?
  12. Just spent the evening my two year old grandson and couldn't help but thinking about this horrendous tragedy. Some of these comments are absolutely childish and moronic. And I really care less what some of you comedians think of me but some you smart assess are sickening a-holes. Hope someone in your family doesn't meet such a grizzly fate. But I suppose if it is one of your loved ones, well now that might well be worth a joke or two. Idiots.
  13. One news outlet said there are "no swimming" signs posted. Apparently the toddler was standing close to the edge, maybe in a couple three inches of water when the gator struck. His father went in and struggled to pull him free but lost the battle. Can you imagine? I have two grandsons that very age and can't fathom how you would ever be able to get your head around this. And yes the radicalized comments were stupid; try to put yourself in those parents shoes while cracking wise.
  14. GLWS and not to hijack but my Wright 2a3 system on KHorns is nothing less than spectacular. I can only imagine how good this preamp performs. The late Mr. Wright knew his stuff.
  15. Wife and I had a nice Sunday evening dinner at a great KC steakhouse. Their "bourbon basil smash" caught my eye then my pallet. Makers, fresh squeezed lemon, lemon zest and a basil leaf, crushed ice. Talk about refreshing and damned tasty. "Yes ma'am thanks, I will have another".
  16. Interpreting gun laws can be difficult to sift through but as I see it FL has a stand your ground law which doesn't give you the right to carry a firearm. I may very well be wrong on this. When I said I live in a state that's gives me the right to protect myself I mean the state of KS where one can carry whether on their person or in their vehicle a firearm with no permit. Not really sure if this is good or bad but one can be sure there are Lots of people armed around these parts. My LEO son has no real issue with it other than when stopping a car and seeing a gun on the seat highly suggests that's where the gun remains during the stop.
  17. Yes Sir - all the Best. And enjoy. We have three grandsons now all under 21/2. Had the oldest over for a couple days last week and those little guys will keep you hoppin' big time. It's full on then time for a nap, then full on again. I never considered myself the greatest father, a much better Grandpa I am.
  18. Of course he gets it. He has had to address this kind of situation WAY too many times before. "Of course he gets it". When has he ever called it what it is - Islamic terrorism"? No matter how many times he has "addressed" these atrocities this term has yet to be used. Isn't that the beef in this "war"?
  19. Our President is soon to speak, we will see how obvious it is to him ----
  20. Possible, only possible ties to terrorism according to LE. I imagine this thread could go political and quickly cut short but I am glad I live in a state where I have the right to protect myself against this madness. Update - FL governor calls it Islamic terrorism and the club where this occurred was of gay leanings.
  21. Orlando I believe. A sad commentary on the state of human actions.
  22. Being difficult for me to compare back to back a stock KHorn with my Fastlane Elliptrac KHorn with extreme slope networks I was able to listen to a new stock KHorn in the listening room at Hope. In that room I found the stock horns to be much more forward and in your face than mine. But again I was sitting much closer than at home, I listen to tubes amps vs. an inexpensive SS integrated used at Hope so environments are varied for sure. But I find my Horns very smooth, no bite at all and a huge soundstage across a full 22 foot front. I can't imagine anyone being disappointed with a better damped and larger mouthed Fastlane horn. Sounding as good as my Horns do is what is keeping me from investing in Jubes.
  23. You are a good neighbor. I do the same for my elderly lady next door. It takes less than an hour and you can see how much these small things are appreciated.
