I'm sure it is one of his… Older, different types of can caps. There is another part of a thread somewhere in the Ethereal forum that has something else about these particular crossovers and these capacitors.

Or, more importantly, not put a plant on it…

Unless you are going to be doing some critical listening with these, with a very good source, good source material and a nice amp, I would recommend simply replacing the crossover capacitors with Dayton Audio Precision caps from Parts Express, and leaving the tweeters, mids and woofers alone (other than a good cleaning). Take the fabric off the grills, and get new fabric from Bob Crites or another source. Turning the fabric over will not look good.

I would imagine some of you folks have UVerse service..... My setup is as follows: Main gateway and receiver in the living room, one wireless receiver in bedroom, one wireless receiver in the basement (my space). Problem: Wireless reception to the basement receiver is terrible. The receiver does have an ethernet port. I tried to connect a cable tonight from the main gateway upstairs, to the receiver downstairs, and it pretty much killed my entire network, temporarily (had to disconnect that ethernet cable to the downstairs receiver, and then reboot all of the receivers). I did have to run it through a switch, so wondering if that might have been the issue. Suppose I'm just looking for a bit of advice or ideas, something I may have missed. Thanks.
