I'm hoping to get some feedback on what a reasonable sales price may be for my setup of 2rf35s, 2rs35 and an rc35. I am the original owner. Cabinets are a bit scratched, dinged, but otherwise the speakers are great. Just downsizing to please the wife. Please post if you have an idea of what a fair price would be or let me know if you are in the Dallas area and are interested. Should be a great home theatre setup at a bargain price for someone.

Best Buy is currently offering a free quintet system with the purchase of $499+ in recievers and/or speakers. Can someone tell me a little about the system. I personally have a reference setup but I am trying to shop for my brother. He is looking at some HTIB options and I thought that pairing this with a high quality reciever would be a better option for now and certainly if he ever wanted to upgrade. Has anyone heard the qunitets?

Sorry to post this here, I feel like it is out of place but I have always gotten good answers on this forum. My situation: I have the RPTV listed above and when I run any of the video set ups, the contrast seems to be messed up. If anyone is familar with the Sound and Vision disc, you are to look for the blooming of the white boxes and stop adjusting contrast there. Even when I turn my contrast all the way up, I still see clear distinctions off all of the white boxes. I am having similar results using the THX setup found on many DVD's. Has anyone had a simlar problem? Could this be an issue with my DVD player? I have the Samsung HD931 hooked up with the DVI input. Thanks in advance for any feedback and again I apologize for posting on an audio forum.

Thanks for the tip. I actually got Ultimate to go down in price quite a bit and picked up my new rf35's today.

I have a Yamaha rx-v1400 with the klipsch 35 reference series. My problem is that when I run the test tones(an audio set up dvd) for dolby digital 5.1 the sound for the surround right and left plays together. I have also had this same problem when running the test tones on the THX dvd menus. Strangely, when I play the test tones for DTS or the built in reciever test tones, the two play seperately and correctly. This makes me think that it might be something with my dvd player settings. Anyone have any advice?? Just got my new RF35's to complete the klipsch set and I want to get it sounding as good as possible.

I am tyring to pick up some new rf-35's and looking for a place that will negotiate in Dallas, TX. I would like to buy from an authorized dealer but the only place that I know of is Ultimate Electronics. They will cost me 900 plus tax there and you can order them online for like 750 (with shipping). They also told me that they do not negotiate off their price or try to even get close to internet pricing. I want to buy authorized for many reasons but a $200+ difference is a lot of money. Does anyone have any ideas of places to try??
