  1. what happened to the grills? I was high bidder.
  2. I would say... right BELLOW direct dead center.
  3. that was very interesting... thanks for sharing.
  4. Very nice... details? Someone once told me it was bad go put amps in vibration areas... is that not the case?
  5. I wouldn't have an issue paying prices close to those... I am just not an oak man.
  6. WOW, has anyone ever changed the screen or any other parts in a smart phone... ******* intense! the steps are easily accomplished but everything is so ******* microscopic it's nuts. some of the screws were no bigger than a pencil lead and everything is so fragile including the micro soldering. Who designs these things
  7. why do those look so shiny? is that vinyl or hardwood veneer?
  8. I didn't know that... learn something new everyday
  9. I am @ +4/+4.5 on my sub setting with a SC35... it's just a tad soft for music and a tad strong for my taste in movies.
  10. that is a bit of an understatement...even with shipping of 500$ it's still a good price. someone go buy these and flip them... or better yet, I will give you $200 to go get them and ship them to me
  11. Interesting little furniture bridge you fashioned there! I actually have four of those solid walnut end tables(so I could use three together)... but really, that set up (while maybe not ideal) is extremely sturdy and stable as is. I can not even feel the center speaker vibrate during HT duty, therefore I placed the rega on it and have zero issues. it's a very sturdy bridge []
  12. were klipschorns ever released in all cane?
  13. grills not removable... says who? are you talking about the decorator version?
  14. if you don't get that 7ii set up... if it is indeed available in that configuration... you are insane! the best price I have seen for 7ii's BY THEMSELVES is around $1800 with no shipping for B stock... if you can get that set up with everything for 2900 and it's A stock that is an UNBELIEVABLE deal... emphasis on unbelievable.
  15. I made a couple subtle changes this week... Adding Bel Canto REF 500M's in pre out from the Pioneer. sound quality is amazing, one of the best upgrades I have made. Sound resolution, spatial qualities and graininess have all improved greatly. it was/is the sound I was looking for. One thing that has happened is the integration of the sub woofer is no longer seamless... I need to get in there and tweek a little more on it. I think I would like to try a different turntable pre amp for the MC sometime soon. http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7323/9819549695_1f1692a55a_o.jpg http://farm4.staticflickr.com/3703/9819549396_b231b554df_o.jpg test drive Akira Ifukube

    Some sad news

I am sorry... I hope everthing is okay with you and yours.
  17. no rust anywhere... that is brown felt. 7" platter... looks like the tone arm would layout on a 10" perfectly. I am scare to try anything because those steel needles look deadly!
  18. Interesting stuff... maybe leave it alone and just set it on the shelf for prosperity, though I would like to see it run. any idea what drives the platter? a magnet field? I know the platter spins effortlessly.. but the mechanism underneath is stationary, thankfully, I found about 20-30 of the needles in the base. those things are deadly... to both my finger and the record.

    Oppo

now there is a D version? when will the madness end...to me it looks like a "levels" or "Curve" enhancement done in auto mode.
  20. not sure yet... it's old, so I am scraed to try it without going thru a rebuild. I have no idea what model or maker it is... it may even be Japanes in origin. no markings... solid wood. Magnetic drive?
  21. I found these boxes to add to the couple hundred or so I already have...found them in my uncles garage along with a mobile player.
