and my mom is a lil pissed.
well... clean up your room young man@!
FYI... my mom doesn't actually get mad until I turn ON my CW's

does anyone have a link to that old video where the klipsch speaker was begin driven by a disassembled greeting card?
I know it's around somewhere, but I can not seem to find it.

check polarity

its the factor that is the issue... sure you can say, well... 27% of zero is still zero. But really 27%(.27) is about 40 times the THD of the 8ohm load(.007*40).
now if you run a single set of two speakers @ 8ohms, I guess you are good to go(as I would be also), but if you run more than 2 8ohm speakers you are at 4ohm minimal load consistently.
I need to look elsewhere.
I am thinking about staying with class D Ice based Amps because the floor is so effing outstanding... black on black on blackness. Either that or I need to spring for the big boys... the X1's
even Paul was into SS so... []

I need a new amp, and I have been reading a lot about emotiva... I wanted to go with two U1's monoblocks for 2 channel. then I started reading about what happens to the amps at 4ohm loads.
UPA1
THD+N ratio @ 8ohm = 0.007337 %
THD+N ratio @ 4ohm = 0.279648 %
that is a huge factor increase.
as a matter of fact, the more I looked, the more the whole emotiva line had this giant factor increase at 4ohm loads... EXCEPT the X1's(XPA).
XPA1
THD+N ratio @ 8ohm = 0.003260 %
THD+N ratio @ 4ohm = 0.004995 %
^now those are really great number... I guess I just have to save more cashish.

Bose 901's...
JOKE!

Didn't howard Stern use sound to give a woman some pleasure... well you get the idea.

I'd raher see Paul standing there... but that's just me

I want to wire up four CW's. two per channel... what are my issues then? I assume in series would be 4ohms per channel... but what about these "dips"?
the amps I want to use are rated for 8 and 4 ohms
also, what does this do to the total harmonic distortion at high volumes?
-
wired either way? same sound delivery and quality the only difference being in the work that the amp is required to do?
-
does anyone have any word on when Onkyo will release the M5000R two channel amp in the USA?
-
I am wondering what the benefits and draw backs of wiring in either Phase or Parallel are/might be?
sorry... wiring SPEAKERS, in phase or in parallel. My bad thanks. I am contemplating buying two monoblocks to run four speakers. I am just thinking for now.

I guess the way the question was originally phrased, it could have better been illustrated by saying... can you see the moon better with made by coca cola or glass made by Zeiss.
if resolution means anything to you, you have your answer. I realize resolving power doesn't cure cancer, but it does ensure that when you look at it, the least amount of extraneous material, or loss of information, is... well... lost, or worse yet, interpolated.

pick up a pair of RW12d's at 299ea at newegg also!

No CD I own, and I own at least a thousand, comes close to my SACD's... it's not like the cd's lack definition or even richness, but the sacd's take it to another level... specifically in fullness and smoothing out harshness. this has come from back to back playing on the same system... albeit not a great highend system(all SS using a PS3 as playback, not all PS3's are sacd compatable).

^ I agree... at least 20-30 hours as much as 50-60 as a general rule for carts, no experience with shure though.
again...alignment and set up are key
-
I have owned both... I would be happy with either if I could only have one or the other.
if I had a choice, it would be the CW's. there just seems to be a liveliness to them that the KLF lacked... not lack of definition or resolution, just some warmth or ease of listening on my ears... smoothness.
Is Klipsch going to stand behind the 'Heritage' Line or not!!!!!!!!!
