  1. I listen to 99.9% Vinyl. 1&0 fed trhru a da converter is knd of like using a keyboard to make guitar sounds IMHO. Like that sond says " you spin me round n round baby, like record baby"..........
  2. Mary Ann, But with Ginger taking photos. [] By the way this question reminds me of a Texas 10, that is the Dixie chicks (two 4's with a 2 taking photos).
  3. One other point i would like to give fellow posters. If you do not have Umbrella policy, GET one. If your agent has not set one up for you find a new agent. The umbrella covers after your policy limits are reached (liability), we have a multiple million policy, and it is not that much additional each year.
  4. I have a seperate rider for our electronics from General Casulity ($75,000 rider). All I tems are photo graphed and video taped with ss numbers recorded (all kept in the ss box). We also carry a rider for firearms (most policys only cover $1,000.00).
  5. Rick, I hope that it finds it's way back home. I am also a avaid arher, so I can feel your pain. Ironic part is, solid evidence as to the perps lack of survival instinct (steal a weapon), one would think that the owner knows how to use it. And most likely has more. Zeeeeeech some folks kids. Roy
  6. Michael, No problem, I hear you. I do not want to war with any fellow members either. If we ALL remeber what is OK in our opinion is just that OPINION, we would have a lot more time to enjoy life. Roy
  7. You really should take your own advise. *READ* I never flamed YOU or anyone else. My post was refering to "If you are not part of the soulution" comment. While I have no problem with SUV's, I would think that those that do see little difference in a Montero and a Rover (about the same size as a Discovery) Zeeech, some folks kids.
  8. While they most likely do not "really need " a range rover for that, it is a choice that they have made. I don't see how some of you guys can preach about "being part of the problem" here. While you may not have a large SUV (as it would seem in your view to be part of the problem), some of the SUV owners do not not have three, four or what ever the number of power consuming systems sitting in a home that could easly service 3~5 more residents. Or maybe they wonder why does one person live in a 3 bedroom home, or need more than one car ect. I am not saying that either way is right or wrong, just that we all have a view on what is or is not "part of the problem". That being said we are all at the mercy of that black gold. Don't like it, I feel your pain. But the fact is for the next 20 years or more it's a part of our lives. We are just now tasting what Europe has digested for more than 50 years.
  9. $2.80 per Gallon for #1 diesel. Reg unleaded was posted @ $3.29 PER GAL, PREM @ $3.49 FOR THE FIRST TIME IN 4 YEARS DIESEL IS LESS than reg gas.
  10. I gree. I think it is a great product. I would not have poped the cash for it (mine was free bee when i bought my Lyra Helikon cart, small gimme with a $2,000.00 cart..). But after using it it is great.
  11. Sorry for the delay guys. They ware all sold to another member. The delay was due to emails between he and I. Thanks for looking, and glad that a fellow member can use them. Roy
  12. No cats here. But one jumped under our deck last month, was the folks next doors . Ugly smashed face looking thing.
  13. Take the bus, and spend the dough for a accounting degree. You will be done with that before you pay one of those crazy loans off. You will hopefuly then understand what a STUPID mistake you just missed. Zeeeech, some peoples kids.
  14. I hear what you guys are saying. I am often wondering why there is NO heritage dealer in our area (for that matter almost the entire state). The local shops cary B&W (stock a boat load of them) and several other "high end" speakers. When I am talking shop with them and mention my khorns the attited is "1950 it was a good speaker". Fortunaly growing up in a Klipsch fanatic family I know better, but how MANY don't! Seems that the Klipsch company has decided it's market segment and IMHO it is not the Heritage line. If it was this converstion would not be taking place. As far as market demands ect, I for one know several folks that have bought some big dollar systems since the "kids have left the nest" and guess what, our beloved Klipsch was not even concidered. Sadening to say the least, but I wonder why the company does not rectify the problem? PS, my room id ALWAYS open to any who wish to check out the heritage line. Oh the days of top shelf Hifi shops displaying heritage, wish we still had that choice.
  15. photos not loading.......... Will reload. grrrrrrrr
  16. I have to offer to fellow members a pair of Lascallas. They are serial numbers 8519783 and 8519784 in LS-BLS. They have DeanG networks (I will also include the origional AL networks) and are in nice condition. I bought these from Spaaz, and was going to put a system together for our lake house, but we have had several breakins this summer, so that is not going to happen. I am asking $900.00 for them (what I paid), pick up is prefered but will work out something for a fellow member. I will try to get photos up soon. I am also selling a pair of VTL mono block 125's (newly caped and checked out by Craig at NOSVALVES)asking $1,200.00 for them. And one last item, a Carver C4000T pre amp in mint condition, asking $500.00 Regards, Roy
  17. If the hose has a basement, and it is near or has acess to the room. I would put a seperate electrical box and breakers for your sound room. That is what we did when we finshed the lower level in our home. Did we need to? Dunno.. but it was not a ton of money and we have never had problem. YMMV

If so I assume that you must be slow or mad that you don't own one. Jackson asked for owners input, not armchair mechanics and R&T wanna be's. That was bob Carvers best and only tube based pre amp. That would smooth the edges on the amp a bit. Roy
  20. They are SS. They were a OK amp in thier day. A lot more info can be found at www.carveraudio.com Many feel that they (Carver)do not mate well with horns. I tend to agree with that line of thinking as well, based on owning both over the years. Roy

The Z06 has always been my dream "next" car, (because my dream cars are the Benz SL65 AMG and Lamborghini Murcielago), and to hear that the C6 is better than last year's Z06 model is quite astounding! If that's true, I cannot even WAIT for the new version to come out. I've even heard it won't be called the Z06, but a Z-something else. ---------------- Nic, As far as I know it will be the Z06 (just on steriods).I have owned some real nasty rides in my day, so finally get to have a couple nice ones, lol. Worse was a 1971 Ford Pinto (Green with black rubber floors) but was happy as could be at the time. Roy

The 07 Zo6 verion might be worth the wait, but can't be more pleased with the C6. Roy ---------------- Hi Roy What options did you spring for? The magnetic suspension?, performance package? I am considering for a coupe, would use for commuting during good weather as well as weekend drives, how is the 6 speed for every day driving. Sound bad, but if I get I am not taking it to the track, so I am trying to be realistic about making comfortable to drive. Thanks for any input. ---------------- jackson, We got EVERYTHING (lol). The suspesion option is well worth the ching. You will love the 6 speed, it is much smoother than the 2005 (not that it was bad)and I am an automatic fan at my core. I never took our Z06 to the track, nor will the C5 see it. These are great for the type of commuting you are talking about provided it is NOT Chicago style stop and go. The wife and I have been on several week end trips with it (600 miles round trip) and it is a pleasure. I will say that a fat old bastard like has to hump it to get in and out. Roy

A rought estimate on the 0-60 is right around 2.5sec and the slowest 3 ---------------- The Zo6 never came with a 427, motor replaced? 750 hp on pump gas? Something does not equate here. Faster than anything elese, I DON'T THINK SO. There many cars out there much faster than our C6. There IS ALWAYS one faster. But fastest is NOT why we bought ours. It is quite simpley the most refined Corvette made to date. We traded our 05 Z06 when our C6 arrived. We really enjoyed the Z06, but the C6 is a cut above in ALL aspects. Roy

But the GMC had HID lights, better interior layout and comfort as well as more HP than the F-150. Almost bought a "King Ranch" edition of the F-150. Dodge is the most uncomfy of any that we looked at. I have my Alpine, Orion, Oz Audio system that I removed from the Avalanche, but will most likely keep the factory system this time. The Bose is my only complaint. Roy
