  1. as stated above they will be used only for music, not home theater application, it will be a while til i do a full on home theater upgrade, and maybe when i do i will use the K-Horns or Scalas depending on what i get, i still havent decided 14.gif i'm leaning towards the khorns though

i dont listen to rap, or basshead music, i listen to classic rock, alternative, newwave, rock, and some punk rock (the real punk rock, not this new fake stuff)

also i want the power in an amp to be there if i need it, so i'm gonna stay away from the low powered stuff

i've never had any experience with vacuum tube amps but i hear lots of people use them for the Heritage Series, i would like a McIntosh Amp but i cant find prices on any of their models

  2. what do you guys think of running a transistor powered 70w 2 x Rotel stereo amp with the Scalas or K-Horns?

    edit:

The 2A3s - will be an astounding 3.5 watts per channel!

really? only 7 watts is enough for the k horns?

    how much are thoes?

i want to beable to when i can crank thoes babies and let them fill the house, so i went enough power to do that

  3. do the Klipschorns HAVE to be placed in the corner of a room?

i was looking at the specs of the klipschorns and they say they only go upto 17khz, correct me if i'm wrong but isnt that bad?

are they still sold as a new item? or do i have to go eBay hunting for a pair?

  4. iTunes (for windows anyway) is missing one important feature, hardware audio acceleration, for sound cards like the Audigy 2 or the Revo 7.1 which support hardware acceleration, it can be turned on in Winamp and greatly improves the sound performance, expesually if you like to listen to music while gaming. or doing lots of CPU intensive stuff.

correction i think it does have hardware acceleration but just not an option to turn it off or on like in Winamp

  5. I'm a real big fan of Apple Lossless codec, its great if you have the space, previosly before there was a stable version of iTunes for Windows I ripped all my CD's in 320Kbps MP3 but now they are all in the Apple Lossless, the sound quality difference is noticable for me. AAC is also very nice, for the size and bitrate it owns MP3 in every way shape and form. but i'll stick to Lossless for CD rips. I havent tried AIFF yet, but i was always sure that was Apples name for their WAV type uncompressed audio codec, maybe i'm wrong

Monkey Audio codec was nice too, its a Lossless codec but i stopped using it for it didnt have much compatibility with anything other than Winamp with a plugin

  6. i just wish people wouldnt be so messy in them, but that will never happen

i dont think i've ever been in a movie theater where the floors arnt like fly paper, even a brand new 5 month old THX certified one, so so sticky, when i go to the movies it seems like i'm the only person trying to keep the place clean 14.gif

i think movie theaters are like rental cars, people dont give a damn about them because they dont own them

  7. What is your favorite internet radio network?

I mostly listen to Club 977 The 80's Channel (www.club977.com)

    or RantRadio Punk (www.rantradio.com)

Both streams I listen to at 128Kbps but I wish they had a higher bitrate stream.
