  2. I have a feeling we wont be seeing pictures.......
  3. I downloaded the whole Finding Nemo DVD-R which was 4.45GB, and it turned out to be the German version. On the light side, atleast I have broadband hehe It's a shame cause the quality was perfect, the video and audio wasn't downsampled at all.
  4. speaking of which, i wish Yamaha would make a new CAVIT, one with MAC OSX support, and 6 descrete analog outputs for external powered speakers like the Ultra 5.1's i actually wouldnt mind if they just released new drivers for the 2 channel non-amplified version of the CAVIT, i need more high quality external sound options for an Apple notebook http://www.yamahamultimedia.com/yec/products/cavit/dpu50.asp
  5. have you ever played anything like punk rock on that? if so how did it sound?
  6. Actually, with hearing protection, it's not painful at all. What you have to look out for though is that bass is so low and loud, it can actually cause you to stop breathing!!!!! Painful?! NO.... Deadly?! MAYBE! very well put chops
  7. yeah no doubt dude, there was a local competition near me when i loved in Florida, i went with a few friends and someone that wanted to see how well his car could do, man there were some really ugly cars there, gutted cars with only a drivers seat and super thick windows, nasty looking enclosures and tons of wires, definatly just a sport. my friend managed a 137.6db run for overall loudness with his Clarion/Image Dynamics setup, he would have done SPL deathmatch but he didnt want to destroy his sub, besides a 10" IDQ wouldnt beable to touch some of the systems that were there, people put way way to much money into that stuff. dB drags are just as bad as thoes competitions where you put air bags in cars or trucks and try to jump the front end as high as it will go, there is usually nothing in thoes vehicles, not even an engine, seems like a total waste of money to me
  8. I've made a little internet comparison chart. ISP data rate per American Dollar AOL Dial-up: 2 Kbps Netzero Dial-up: 4.9 Kbps Earthlink Dial-up: 2.2 Kbps Charter Cable: 77 Kbps Earthlink Cable: 67 Kbps Comcast and Road Runner Cable: 61 Kbps Bell South DSL: 10 Kbps DirecPC Satellite: 5 Kbps ------ AOL, Netzero, and Earthlink dial-up based on a connection speed of 49 Kbps (FCC Regulations limit dial-up to a max of 51 Kbps) Bell South FastAccess DSL based on 256 Kbps plan Combast, Road Runner, Charter and Earthlink Cable based on 3Mb plan DirecPC Satellite based on 500 Kbps plan ------- ISP monthly cost AOL Dial-up: $23.90 * Netzero Dial-up: $9.95 * Earthlink Dial-up: $21.95 * Charter Cable: $39.99 Comcast and Road Runner Cable: $49.99 Bell South DSL: $24.95 DirecPC Satellite: $99.99 (not including hardware cost and startup fee) * = not including long distance charges if required As you can see by this chart, Dial-up should be about $1 per month lol, but of course that will probably never happen. Also yes I know that not everyone can get Cable or DSL because they are out of range, which is a shame. Expesually when a lot of people i'm sure could afford it. I used to be one of thoes people when I lived in Florida, I had the funds, but nobody offered broadband in my area. Anyway, I hope you like the chart I made, I spent about 30 minutes on it researching ISP cost and service plans.
  9. updated source of desktop wallpaper > http://www.hondaitalia.com/moto/uff_stampa/fotostampa/foto_strada.html (NOTE do not even attempt going there on dialup, all images are 1.5MB-5MB)
  10. nah db drag isnt my lust, i just thought it was cool that Pioneers first attempt at a killer sub and they managed to take the world record i go for sound quality over loudness, well actually its a little bit mixed, i like sound quality and loud enough for me to enjoy it since i primarily listen to punk rock, i tend to stay away from larger subwoofers with insane stroke length, 10" subs with super light weight cones and awesome sealed enclosure performance is what i look for. also subs that add 100lbs to the back of my car dont really float my boat either one of my friends uses a Image Dynamics IDQ10 D4 V.2 in a custom sealed enclosure with 150w amp which sounds absolutely amazing playing punk, its so tight
  11. I would also like to see pictures.
  12. the funnier thing about that is someone actually bidded on it also lol @ Bids over $8,984,682,626,727.65 will give free shipping
  13. http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/pna/product/detail/0,,2076_4061_35327,00.html?compName=PNA_ProductDetailComponent and congrats Pioneer on the SPL world record with the sub!! http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/pna/article/0,,2076_15019826_56825958,00.html one of thoes alone would probably make any normal car drag on the ground hehehe not to mention rattle it to complete destruction....
