So, I have Klipshorn's purchased in 2000. I have a Marantz 2380 (I think) integrated amp from the 70's working fine. I have that feeding my Marantz 108 (I think) power amp. Its sounds great. I have a large room, 40X25 with pine floors and wonderful corners for the KHORNS.  However, I have read tones on getting tube amps because they sound richer and warmer (as I am told)  But a McIntosh 275 casts 7-8 thousand dollars.  Lately I have been reading a lot about Decware Zen single ended triodes.  They are supposed to sound great on an efficient speaker. The Khorns have a 105 db.  But then I get to reading in forums all this other stuff and other opinions and technical stuff and I get lost and confused.  I just want to get  tube amp that I can afford and is rated to sound excellent on my KHorns.  Can anyone give me some easy to under stand advice?

    Welcome to the Forum

  2. I think an active crossover/DSP unit would be a big draw for all Heritage. I don't see powered traditional Heritage speaker as being in demand for quite some time.

And briefly noticed that recent quarterly results are favoring the Klipsch brand, although have not done any DD.

    Cool...

That's correct, huge YoY numbers, I think annual report is out midweek.

Who determines if it's coincidental or causal?

    Bill Gates?

I think it's the Advisory Committee on Immunization practices (ACIP), that who handled J&J. 15 voting members, staggered 4 year terms, appointed by Director of HHS from nominated applicants.

They meet next week, on the agenda is J&J cases, approval of Pfizer for 16 to 18.

Has Voxx improved Klipsch electronics?  If yes then awesome for them.  If no it could hurt the brand as that's all they do is electronics.

Onkyo/Pioneer/Integra will be part of Premium Audio Company which was created last year, Klipsch and the rest of Premium Audio is all under Klipsch management team.

I wasn't aware that Sharp was actually making Onkyo gear, or that's what I glanced from the article.

I mean - really? How many people actually READ consent forms, or terms of service etc. etc.etc.? These “consent” forms are drawn by teams of legal beagles obviously favoring that being consented to. Ain’t a one of us that has read word for word the Klipsch TOS for the forum we subscribe to. And everyone of us has broken one or two clauses in that form whether it was read or not.

Yes, this is really, really tough and complicated. I would expect it would challenge most people and they would just say "forget it" just get it over with:

WHO SHOULD NOT GET THE MODERNA COVID-19 VACCINE?

You should NOT get the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine if you

: • had a severe allergic reaction after a previous dose of this vaccine • had a severe allergic reaction to any ingredient of this vaccine

WHAT IF I AM BELOW 18 YEARS OLD? In clinical trials, 15,400 individuals ages 18 and over received at least one dose of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine. Because the vaccine has not been studied in those under 18 years old, the CDC and FDA do not currently recommend anyone below 18 receiving the vaccine.

WHAT ARE THE INGREDIENTS IN THE MODERNA COVID-19 VACCINE? The Moderna COVID-19 Vaccine contains the following ingredients: messenger ribonucleic acid (mRNA), lipids (SM-102, polyethylene glycol [PEG] 2000 dimyristoyl glycerol [DMG], cholesterol, and 1,2-distearoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphocholine [DSPC]), tromethamine, tromethamine hydrochloride, acetic acid, sodium acetate, and sucrose.

If you answered “yes” to any of the Vaccine Screening Questions, you should speak with your health care provider before getting the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine. This includes if you:

    • have any allergies

    • have a fever

    • have a bleeding disorder or are on a blood thinner

    • are immunocompromised or are on a medicine that affects your immune system

    • are pregnant or plan to become pregnant

    • are breastfeeding

'• have received another COVID-19 vaccine

    How ironic.  From the article:

"Now, the same groups are blaming patients’ coincidental medical problems on covid shots, even when it’s clear that age or underlying health conditions are to blame, Hotez said."

That's  the same things that some claimed was happening when deaths were attributed to the virus when people died that had underlying conditions.

It's different. The key difference is the coincidental death or medical issues after vaccination. It's coincidence - from an insidious disease or condition.   Reporting is required with all death following a vaccination, without regard to cause or manner. They are all investigated.

They shut down J&J with five cases of blood clots and 1 death. Why would Moderna and/or Pfizer cause be allowed to continue being administered after causing 1,000 deaths, 500, 100? They wouldn't.

The article in the pseudo-science article said there were three thousand something deaths that were from getting the vaccine. That's utter bullshit (that is outdated, over 4,000 deaths reported via VARES now). Those are the number of deaths following a vaccine by some amount of time, because by law they have to be reported regardless of cause. They all have to be investigated to determine if there is some sort of casual relationship or not. In the case of J&J, five cases, 1 death, shut the whole thing down.

People will just read the headlines and come away thinking, oh my gosh, 4,000 people have died from the vaccine. The article I linked was just one, of hundreds of examples, of the way people just make up bullshit for their own agendas.

My co-worker is about not that far from my desk.  i asked him what literature he received after his injection.  He said that he got the shot, had to wait 15 minutes than was allowed to leave.  On the way out he got a paper with the brand of shot he received and the date for the next injection.  That was it.

How did he register for it? On line? If so it was ALL there, he just didn't read it. I don't know how it works if you register in person. Did he opt in for V Safe?

Has anyone gotten it at a pharmacy? I would think the way they work they give you all of the information.

It's a compilation of utter gibberish, lies and falsifications put together by anti-vaxxer activists.

"Deaths reported from Covid Vaccination on the first page was a clear indication of what this was because they are misstating the data. The only link between a Covid-19 vaccine and a death in the USA is the J&J vaccine.

"Anti-vaccine groups are exploiting the suffering and death of people who happen to fall ill after receiving a covid shot, threatening to undermine the largest vaccination campaign in U.S. history. In some cases, anti-vaccine activists are fabricating stories of deaths that never occurred.

“This is exactly what anti-vaccine groups do,” said Dr. Peter Hotez, an infectious diseases specialist and author of “Preventing the Next Pandemic: Vaccine Diplomacy in a Time of Anti-Science.”

The original question was whether or not a wide range of differing expert or qualified opinions can contribute to the topics debatable around COVID (thinking broadly about this). Your response clarified that to mean only "top scientists" should be listened to and then you clarified that further (narrowly) to the CDC and WHO. It seems appropriate to include others with research and experience in virology, epidemiology, infectious diseases, evolutionary biology...should if they choose have a voice and as the original poster suggested, and participate in an honest debate about issues. We have nowhere near that. We have a handful of individuals who have constructed a series of narratives and anyone who disagrees or even questions that narrative is attacked and labeled as a nutjob. This further obscures the issues, contributes to vaccine skepticism, and distrust among the general population.

As for the WHO, this is part of it as the narrative pushed is that the lab leak hypothesis (I'm talking about lab leak, not a lab created then purposefully released) can't possibly be true. Many scientists have said that while they don't have direct evidence, they believe that a lab leak could explain a great deal about this virus. It should be noted that there is also no direct evidence of other narratives being pushed (e.g. wet markets, pangolins). There are many reasons for the lab leak theory. The most recent credibility issue with the WHO is that when they investigated these sorts of things, they weren't allowed to investigate anything on their own, but rather got information directly from the Chinese government, which concluded that it wasn't a lab leak (nothing to see here, folks). The WHO said "good enough", and didn't question it. There's good reason for them to lie or mislead about this (gov't). See NPR generally. The truth is at this time, we don't really know the origin. Finally, many certainly have an economic interest in the lab leak hypothesis to not be true. Those who've financially relied on gain of function research for grant and other funding. Evidence of a lab leak would certainly call that into question (because we sure as hell don't want this to ever happen again), and many that are vocal against any possibility of a lab leak stand to suffer financially if gain of function research is called into question.

That was very well written, enjoyed the first paragraph.

This next part isn't directed at you, or anyone else, a general reminder.

For me to be able to keep this thread alive -  "no china."

It's about current news, science related to SARS-CoV-2, free of politics (that's the tricky part). Current is like now, not over a year ago.

If something is earth shattering, of major significance, and the origin or location is inextricably intertwined with the something current,  then post a new thread on it and we can see if it can last.

Somebody find the peer reviewed study last month, by an American university team of epidemiologists and evolutionary biologists, that had tracked it to a village 30 kilometers outside of Whuhan and what is right about it or wrong about it. Good start for a thread.

  16. "V-safe is a smartphone-based tool that uses text messaging and web surveys to provide personalized health check-ins after you receive a COVID-19 vaccine. Through v-safe, you can quickly tell CDC if you have any side effects after getting a COVID-19 vaccine. Depending on your answers to the web surveys, someone from CDC may call to check on you and get more information. V-safe will also remind you to get your second COVID-19 vaccine dose if you need one."

Speculation?  This is HHS saying that the reporting system is vastly underutilized.  You know the situation is bad if the gov. admits that their own agency is not working!

Yes, it was slow, and inconvenient to report minor effects, let alone serious ones 10 years ago. It's now real time and daily, via text/cell with V-safe, as a result of that decade old study.
