  1. I'll always remember her on the poster with the red bathing suit looking a little "cold". []

  3. You'll be hard pressed to find someone who's actually owned both. There may be someone out there but that person may not have read this post. I've always liked SVS and have owned 2 of their subs. They have great customer service which means a lot to me. The Ultra used in a HT environment is a proven winner on most all counts.
  4. A fellow forum member asking if he should upgrade. Do you actually think someone will say no????
  5. The games been over here, you must be on some sort of tape delay.
  6. What a great game. I know what I'll be doing Sunday!
  7. I use THIS antenna on about a 12 foot pole behind my house. You can find them cheaper elsewhere however. I can pick up Lake Charles, which is about 60 miles away. The only amplifier I have is one that the cable company put in my attic. It's right where the main cable line comes in. It amplifies and splits the signal for all my drops. I put my signal switch for the antenna/cable line before the splitter.
  8. Looks great! I can't wait to see what kind of sub you and the Dr. come up with. Horn loaded no doubt.
  9. Great story, welcome to the forum. Be sure to post your impressions once it's up and running. Oh, yea, we like pics!
  10. I toggle back and forth between cable and OTA via a couple of switches. The picture you get with OTA is spectacular compared to cable or satellite due to the fact that there's no compression of the signal. We watch all major sporting events on our OTA antenna.
  11. Everytime I've talked to him, he's been covered up with work. Now the hurricane season is here and his load has increased. I tried calling hin a week or so ago and the phone just rang and rang. I never did get a hold of him. Hope all is well.

    Bi-Wire

The only benefit that I can see (or hear) is if your speaker wires are undersized and can't properly carry the signal, then bi-wiring would be beneficial. I bi-wired my RF-7s and try as I might I couldn't hear a difference even though I really wanted to.

    Bi-Wire

Twist the positive wires together and put them on one terminal. Do the same for the negative side. Basically you're just doubling the size of the wire in this case. It's only needed if your wires are too small to begin with.
  14. I just realized you're from Houston, I'm right down the road from you.
  15. im less than 20 fee on each speaker, so is the monster 16 gauge thx certified speaker wire okay to keep? Should be fine. You have enough wire that you could bi-wire and see if you hear a difference if you're curious.
  16. For comparison. http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=102&cp_id=10239&cs_id=1023903&p_id=2793&seq=1&format=2
  17. I'll bet DrWho or Michael Hurd might help with that if they were asked nicely []. There's also Sonotube if you like the SVS look. All you have to make is end caps and the port (PVC). Cover it with the carpet dejour and you're done.
  18. Considering the fact that the RC-10 is only rated down to 88Hz, I'd think that a 100 Hz crossover would be more appropriate.
