  1. haha, fair enough, by the way, I have NO idea why my original post looks like it was written by a 3 year old. Very interesting. Maybe it's time to stop playing Starcraft and go to sleep.
  2. Now that i've decided what speaker to get, the only other choice is color? Anyone have any idea since they both looks awesome? I think my carpet is greyish, my TV is silverish, and the audio racks are going to be black, so i think black speakers would looks better, but the woof finish is oh so nice.
  3. where are you located, since you won't ship
  4. I had a 3802 which i just upgraded to a 3805. To put it simply, Denon recievers do everything amazingly. For the price, they cannot be beat with features and sound. I played music through my DVD player, as well as from my computer that was hooked up, and from digital cable music channels, and from all sources it sounded just as good as home theater. Everything sounds good. It has decent bass management, (the new ones are even better). I can't be too specific, but everything was clear and just awesome.
  5. I have the Denon 3805 which does have the Denon Link
  6. PROBLEM SOLVED. Computer will remain on 5.1 analog inputs, and word has it Denon will be releasing the 2900 in late fall with Denon Link and DVI output. Problem solved, just gotta hold out until it's released.
  7. still for sale, e-mail me or call me Jonathan Schwarz schwock5@hotmail.com
  8. i Know the sound blaster audigy has an expansion card that features digital optical and digital coax out. I know with my 5.1 analog to my reciever, i get full 5.1 gaming. I do not know if the digital outputs work the same way. Does a digital output supply 5.1 channels, or is it a dolby digital signal that must be decoded? If it is the second one, most games are not dolby digital, and they will not be surround, i guess it's time to buy some sound cards, experiemnt, and return a whole bunch of stuff, unless of course Creative Labs can answer a few of these questions. I heard their customer service os horrible, but i'll shoot an e-mail their way and let you guys know what i find out. I am very curious to start getting into SACD and DVD-Audio, but I also want to keep my surround gaming in tact. We'll see what happens.
  9. wow, that's far from ideal. Thanks for the reply though. Any idea if the Denon 2900 will be updated with the Denon Link? If not, i guess it's time to upgrade sound cards, although does anyone know if the digital output from a sound card delivers 5.1 gaming, or just a dolby digital signal for movies on a PC?
  10. Klipsch KSW-12 12" 440w down firing sub. Perfect working condition. Looking for ~300. Denon 3802 7.1 surround reciever. Perfect working order, looking for ~550 E-mail Schwock5@hotmail.com AIM: Schwock5 contact me for pictures, questions, inquiries. I am in the Boston Area
  11. I keep getting timed out when i search, so bare with me if this topic has been killed already. Currently my Suond Blaster Audigy uses my reciever's 5.1 analog inputs for surround gaming. I am buying the Denon-2900 for movies, and sicne it has the SACD and DVD-Audio function, thought i'd give it a whirl. But from what i've read, it seems SACD and DVD-Audio isn't output through the digital connections, ONLY through the 5.1 analog outputs of the DVD player. Is this true? Does this mean I have to buy the front port expansion for the Audigy card for $150 just for an optical/coaxial hook-up to my reciever so i can free up the 5.1 for the SACD / DVD-Audio? Also, running an optical or coaxial line from my computer to reciever (i'd say around 30 feet going around the room) seems kinda of rediculous, as of now i have 6 30 feet RCA cables. Any input?
  12. I currently use it to compliment my Quintets in a small college apartment. Now that i've graduated, moving into a bigger place, and am full-time employed, i am buying reference all the way around. the 35 series, and I think the RW-15 sub. The KSW-12 sub is in perfect working condition, with the right frequency crossover and settings it can sound AMAZING. It is a little boomy in movies with rap soundtracks when it gets really super low, but if the levels are right it sounds great. Someone just demoed it in my room but didn't pull the trigger. It was on a hardwood floor and since i'm moving i have glasses and candles and lots of loose items in the room that rattled so he thought it was the sub in poor condition. His loss.

  18. Denon 3802 Reciever (Brand new cost ~$1200) Perfect Working order, I am looking to upgrade, if you're in the area you can try before you buy (which i'd prefer since i'd rather not ship this stuff) Unit was struck by lightning at one point through a monster power center (so much for their claims), although they did pay for the entire repair at an authorized Denon repair center, so it has some fairly new parts in it. It does work PERFECTLY. Includes all manuals and remote control. I'm looking for ~600, price is neogtiable Also, Klipsch KSW-12 subwoofer, looking for ~ 300, the sub is in perfect working order as well. (Manual included and i'd throw in a monster subwoofer cable if you wanted, i think it's ~15 ft) I'm also selling a TV stand and Audio racks if anyone is interested, let me know. Either reply here or e-mail me Schwock5@hotmail.com for questions, pictures, and offers.
  19. Best Buy only sells synergy series, go to Klipsch's dealer locater to find good reference authorized stores. I just found one in Boston and the salesman was AMAZING, let me do everything i wanted, and i can't wait to pick up my speakers in 2 weeks when i move into my new place. E-mail me at schwock5@hotmail.com if interested in the Denon 3802 I'm also selling the Klipsch KSW-12 440w subwoofer, and some Audio Racks.
  20. i'm selling a denon 3802 if you're interested, let me know ~ $500
  21. I am selling a Denon 3802. It's used (by me), kept in an audio cabinet, with dust removed monthly. It is in perfect working condition. (A few months ago lightning struck my house, and there was a problem, but it was taken to an authorized Denon repair center and had a full check up and replacement of damaged parts, which Monster paid for, so essentially it's even newer.) I'm looking for ~500, if you're interested, let me know. This reciever kicks much ***, i'm just looking to upgrade to the newer ones for the component up-conversion since i use so many video game systems.
