  1. No, there has been no problems whatsoever, never, it has to be something you said. Rob
  2. Look, now this is how it is. As sure as sure, if you have money for chorus2 then buy chorus2, if not and you can afford forte than go forte, if not then go 5.5, it is about budget, and availability. Nothing else.Or you can always go with the totem poles, Or wigwams or whatever those erlier speakers were, I am stuck hear with my budget chorus2s, used tube equipment, and suckie paradigms, so please dont end this thred, because I hate to go listen to my stuff, because it sucks, cough....
  3. The spray can black Lacquer you are using is satin. If it is satin it is not pure lacquer, it will have lacquer thinner in it to excellerate the drying of the paint. Black Lacquer is Black Lacquer, and only black Lacquer, regardless of manufacture, black is black, lacquer is lacquer, check it for yourself---- automotive paint store only, Sherwin Williams has it to, but go to the automotive finish store. Rob
  4. I want to thank everyone here for participating in this forum, I spend countless hours on my computer enjoying your topics, who needs a life? not me, I have my computer, and stereo., Rob
  5. Mack the knife? wasent that wrote by Jake and Elwood Blues?
  6. You will need regular automotive black lacquer, black lac. is black lac.Go to an automotive finish store and ask them for it. If it is touch up which can be done by dabbing a small spot, then dab it, then after you have sufficent mil. let dry, wet sand with 1200-1500 grit sanpaper, use a little drop of dishsoap in a bucket of warm water to keep wet sanpaper and clean and wet. After you have the spot "even" and uniform with the wet sand, take some hand rubbing compound in the grit that the auto paint store gave you, and buff area to high even luster. Then finish it off with 3-m hand glaze. Again consult the local automotive paint store on this process, REMEMBER black LACQUER Is Black Lacquer. talk to the paint store and stick to their process. It will be very easy. THis is very good advise, I am a professional painting contractor that is in business doing very high end cusom finishing for 12 years now.Good luck, Rob
  7. Now this thread has me laughing, look at his member since date, yourmomma is got to be someone laughing at us buying into this, man I have to get a life. Rob
  8. I have learned a lot in a very short time, by going to the audiogon form, and go to the interconnect threads, very informative, Rob
  9. All of us here enjoy the klipsch we have, I have the chorus 2 and I also have a 4000$ paradigm setup, you guessed it the 1000$ chorus2s are hooked up,and always on. like the totum poles?, than go to a wigwam site, this is klipsch country son.
  10. Willie Nelson HDCD song "Angel Flying Too Close To The Ground" and it sounds sweet through my new sugarberry
  11. buy a cheap 300$ tv, 2000$ k-horn, 600$ bottel head amps, 1500$ blueberry, 150$ used d/a converter, 99$cd player, and some wire, and you will be very happy with results.
  12. I thought my compulsiveness was unique, man youve got it too.ROb
  13. Linseed oil? Mistake! Check into sikkens products if you are wanting to re-finish. Linseed oil used to be considerd to be a good product, 40 years ago, it never dries completly, sikkens cetol or tounge oil. I am a profesional painter, if it is linseed you used, I would remove it with mineral spirits, find a benjerman moore dealer and pick up a color chart on the sikkens cetol products, their natural is perfect and will last on your speakers longer then the drivers which are in them. Definetly check into this, dont just take my word. Rob
  14. The best that will fit your budget.Dont rush, wait and watch, they will come, I have a feeling, I know they will, easy now, keep watching, keep waching.
  15. Im wearing my shirt now, I had to take my 10 year old son to guitar practice, so I had to ware the shirt. The blueberry is definetly more pleasing to my ears than the sunfire, excuse me while I go change Discs. Rob
  16. Fed Ex delivered my new Juicy Music Blueberry today in a box packed to military spec. 12 minutes of cutting tape, opening a box, only to find another box. By this time I am nearly shaking with excitement, finally get it out of 2nd box, to find even more plastic wrap, by this time I am out of breath, I think I need some kind of medication, I am 32 years old and Santa hasnt came for some time now, but there is somthing about getting new toys.Anyway it was nice to have it packed well. I will have my bottle heads in a couple of days, so the only thing I have to listen to it on is my sunfire 600 setup. So, I jerked out the sunfire pre-amp, carefully installed the tubes in the Blueberry, and laid her carefully into place. I have been listening to is for about an hour now, Willy Nelsons Greatest Hits HDCD, and I can definatley notice a huge improvement of sound. More of everythig, depth, detail, imaging, and the most crisp, detailed high end I have ever heard from a pair of chorus2 speakers, it is true fellows, the Juicy Music Blueberry is a great bargain, it is so far my single greatest improvement to my current setup, if you have not checked out this pre amp, than you are missing out on system potential. Rob Kohler Just looked over at it, man the blueberry looks sweet with oak oil Klipsch, ahhhhhh,Sweeeett
