I'm looking for a program to make music with. I would like to be able to add various fills,rhythms, beats, etc. I found a program for Macs called Garageband that looks perfect for what i want to do, but i dont have a mac. If anyone has any suggestions or recommendations - anything is appreciated. thanks in advance.

I recently found the yamaha HTR-5730 at best buy for $200 and was wondering if this is a good receiver to hook up to a pair of either sf-2s or possibly sb-3's, as well as another pair of klh bookshelves. If you have used this receiver or tryed it out any comments are appreciated, thanks.

I am buying speakers for my room(about 12' by 10'). I like the sb-3's b/c they are a good size, i can place them at ear level on a desk or something, and they are less expensive. However, i do like the sound of the sf-2's better and the bass as well. The sf-2's will be a tight fit in my room with all my stuff and i wasnt sure if it would be worth it to get floorstanding speakers. I also have a pair of klh bookshelf speakers that i will put somewhere in my room. Which speakers would you suggest for a bedroom(i like to play them loud) the size of mine? Thanks! Also..would a onkyo tx-sv636 be a good receiver to hook up to these speakers for music?

I am considering purchasing a pair of Klipsch Forte speakers, and I was wondering how aging would effect the speakers. I believe that they are 18 or 19 years old, and I am about to go off to college in a year. I would like to use them for this year, and hopefully once I return after college. They would not get used when i am away at college. Therefore, i wanted to know if I should worry about aging and things like deterioration, dust build up, etc. Also, is there a good way of storing the speakers? Maybe i am being overprotective, but I just wanted to make sure that they will still perform well for years to come. Another factor that isnt of huge importance is whether or not they will hold their value after 2 owners and 20 years, in case i wanted to sell them. Thanks for your time
