Hey guys, What is the "Length" of wave signal, exiting the KHorn Bass Bin ? I obviously need that KHorn LF Bass bin's wave distance -vs- the K-402 HF Horn, ...for time alignment calculation purpose ? ....or, should I just trust Audyssey to do the alignment magic ? If so , is there a optimal mic calibration placement, that I should consider besides the usual listening position ? ( I did see Chris and Mark have moved their K-402's forward, and lowering them in relationship to their LF bins. Mine will not be lowered, and the K-402's lip will remain center-aligned with the flush front of the KHorn LF. ) Again, thank you for any help you may be able to offer me, in this early phase of setting up my 5.1 Surrounds. ~Rock On , Craig

Glens, What did you you use to burn CD's to FLAC (especially the MultiChannel DVD-Audio and SACD's) , and what are you using to Playback them ?

Notice the Klipsch Metallic COPPER theme on the Back wall...and Smokey Grey for side walls. Fun, fun , FUN ! I constructed a WIDER top for the KHorn Bass Bin... And added an PAINTED insert for sealing the window passage, ...to guarantee a Perfect flow for the mighty KHorns Bass frequencies. Then DRILLED two bolt holes on tops, to secure to the NEW top to the original Squawker/Tweeter 'L' mounting brackets. Here is the Back wall mounting side... And the Side wall mounting side BOLTING area.

-Feb.15th, 2019 (7am CST) Hello FAMILY, My question #1 pertains to my 5.1 SURROUND BASS BIN's, ...using the mighty KHorn bass bins. (I haven't finished setting them up in their 110-degree corner-wall positions, ....so no testing has occurred, yet.) According to what CHRIS has mentioned previously, I believe that the KHorn bass bins slope dramatically at around 400hz. { I have all my L/C/R Jubilee K-402's crossed at 450hz, so I either need to get those KHorn bass up to that desired 450hz point, or, I must be forced to X-Over my K-402 Faital Pro HF20AT Compression Drivers much lower, to the KHorn's 'drop point'. } QUESTIONs: Is it possible to raise the KHorn Bass Bins up to 450hz , when properly placed in perfect corners ? And, should I HARDWIRE them directly to their respectful speaker posts, bypassing their CROSSOVER network, ...since I will be using XILICA DSPs for all the 5.1 crossover/tuning /time alignment duties ? WELL family, Today, I am officially entering into the setup process of getting all 5 of my K-402 setup for my 5.1 JUBILEE system. (Jubilee L/C/R 's ... with KHorn Bass Bin/K-402 Tops for surrounds) I have TWO Xilica XP_4080's , along with using a Marantz AV7703 in Pure Direct mode for my ANALOG out from my Pioneer Elite DVD-Audio player. I am sure I will have plenty of questions coming atcha all, soon. Pics will follow, after everything is in place. (The pic below is before the KHorn/K-402's have been brought into the room ) The saddest thing was getting ALL of these cabinets upstairs into my Jube Room. Totally agree ! ...It was a struggle getting those tuned within 2db of Flat, in my 18 x 15 Jubilee room (11 ft ceiling). I'm loving them, now !

YES , applyingan Xilica XP-2040 on a Pair of Ki-396's. I was disappointed, hearing these right out of the box, ...but Cory Harrison suggest I give them a break-in period. The speaker didn't come alive to me, ...until I placed them in my acoustically treated Jubilee room upstair and gave then a serious DSP treatment. With a little struggle i finally got them within 2db of Flat response, ...then added a little of a House Curve to give them some extension on their lows, ...before adding my Danley TH-50 in, for the Sub Sonic duties. I have only had these Ki-396's for a few days now, and am liking what I finally am hearing, ...thanx to my Xilica DSP applications. Rock on, Craig

Thank You so much Delicious2 , ...for the kind words ! Both of my main MUSIC systems (Theater Surround + the JUBILEE Rooms) are 18ft x 15ft rooms. But, the Jubilee Room has 11 foot ceilings with 6 Clouds (10ft x 18"...4" thick) , ...filled with Rockwool 'SAFE 'n SOUND' Acoustical Soundproofing Insulation. https://www.rockwool.com/products/safensound/ The CLOUDS are pictured above, in my downstairs RF7-iii Surround System, before they were wrapped with FLEECE Fabric. Again, The Jube room upstairs is the exact size and directly above this pictured downstairs living room ! The 6 CLOUDs are hung upstairs by hooks and chain ! The 11ft ceiling is angled, as seen in this OLD foto of the room, pictured below ! The reflective Couch and Metal table were the first thing I removed from the room ! All ' 5 milliseconds ' reflective surfaces, were addressed and label'd as ' PRIORITY ' in getting this room acoustically treated ! The acoustic Stage Curtains were purchased from the ROSE BRAND ( www.RoseBrand.com ), a professional Theater supply company in the New York City area ! After I removed that long reflective couch, I acquired a LOW SHOULDER Fabric 'CLUB' seat for my listening position. Or, move at least 6 feet off the wall, ... if it is NOT acoustically treated ! (The golden '5 millisecond Reflection rule' is around the 6 feet mark, ...which I truly now believe) Our brotha ChrisA, can verify for us, if I am not close to that estimation. My JUBE ROOM ! Fully treated with Theater Curtains, all 4 corner Bass Traps, and Curved-Diffusers for the side walls ! My Left/Center/Right Klipsch Jubilees are set in a 2.1 setup right now. Using my Xilica xp-4080 (4 ch IN / 8 ch OUT) the center Jubilee is just a MONO MIX , combining both L+R input signals. ...since each of the Jubilees are Bi-amped it takes 6 channels for the L/C/R's here, plus add another output channel for my Danley TH-50 sub , So for this 2.1 setup I am using 7 OUTPUT channels ! BUT this coming 2019, ...I am moving into a 5.1 setup. If all goes as imagined, all I will need is another Xilica and 2 more Jubilee K-402 Horns, ...which I will just place on top of my Klipsch KHorn from downstairs. I will be using a Marantz AV7703 Processor for all the audio duties, ...10 Carver Pro ZR1600 Mono Blocks ( a Phoenix Gold product, not Bob Carver) for the Bi-Amped Jubilees, ...and a Crown Macro-Tech MA3600vz Bridged in Mono, for the Danley TH-50 SUB. Cesar, Everything Chris suggest is THE way to go, for your budget. I will help you all the way, ...with the tuning, using the Xilica XP-4080.
