    Hi Amstaff,

I am in a similar boat as you were with an RSW-15 that has a bad amp. Been looking at Edwards Electronics as well for the repair, based on your review! When I looked at the place Klipsch recommended, Sybesma in MI, they wanted about $300, with no guarantee of repair! After seeing your great success with Edwards, I'd like to use them. I contacted them by email and phone (left a message) but haven't heard back yet. I guess I'd like to talk to somebody there to get a "warm fuzzy feeling" before blindly sending my parts over there.

My question now that you've had it back for some time, how is it working for you? Would you think buying the extra year of warranty is worth it for this sub?

    Thanks!

Just got my RSW 15 amp back from Edwards and I am back to booming..  Took right at month to get repaired.  $160 = shipping to save my sub was worth it.

  2. After 11 yrs of flawless performance, my RSW-15 won't turn on.  It had been plugged up the whole time and I unplugged it to arrange some cables and it would not fire back up.  Guess I will be sending to Edwards.  Just not exactly sure what AI am sending.  I have driver and passive cover removed.  do I just remove the 4 bolts holding dowm amp and remove back control panel and mail to Edqrds.  Tips before I get too far?

    Thanks in advance.

    Johnny

  3. Do you have two sub-outs on your receiver, or do you have them amped? I would be curious to know the best way to hook up two subs as I have both the RSW-15 and the KSW-15. My Yamaha RX-Z1 receiver actually has 3 rca sub outs but I only use one to the RSW-15 because of wife wiring restrictions. However, our new house will be done in the next 2 mos with a separate media room so I can have them both hooked up. I would be interested in hearing from you. Thanks!

  4. Hey Man -

I have both the RSW-15 and the KSW-15. Some people have had problems with the RSW but fortunately I haven't. It is an awesome sub, but I would wait until the fronts are acquired. I only have the RF-5's, but wish I had the RF-7's now. Being patient. I wouldn't be afraid of the Klipsh sub, just be aware of the dealer you buy from. Good Luck!

  5. WOW!! WHAT A THREAD. HAVING PURCHASED MY RSW-15 FROM AN INTERNET DEALER BEFORE KLIPSCH WIPED THEM OUT, SOMEHOW, I FEEL GOOD ABOUT IT. THE SUB IS NOTHING BUT AWESOME, HOWEVER, THERE IS ONLY 1 AUTHORIZED KLIPSCH DEALER WITHIN 1 HOURS DRIVE AND THEY NEGOTIATE ZERO OFF OF MSRP. I TOOK A CHANCE VIA THE INTERNET AND BOUGHT RF-5s, THE RC-3 AND RC-35, AND THE KSW-15. I SAVED A TON AND TOOK A CHANCE ON SPEAKERS AND SERVICE. NOW I AM GLAD I DID.

IT SEEMS KLIPSCH WHOULD HAVE DONE MORE HERE. THIS IS VERY DIS-HEARTENING, ESPECIALLY SINCE I AM BUILDING A HOUSE WITH A MEDIA ROOM AND WOULD LIKE TO ADD SOME RF-7 AS MY MAINS. AUTHORIZED DEALER OR NOT, THEIR REPUTATION IS TAKING A HIT HERE.

AT WORST, YOU HAVE A WORKING SUB AND ZERO CHANCE OF GETTING YOUR REPL AND AT BEST A SLIM CHANCE OF GETTING THE REPL. I FEEL FOR YOU. GTOOD LUCK!!
