  1. I am selling my Forte II's because I like the KLF-30's a lot better. It may be different for you. I have heard RF-83's and I liked them better than my forte II's too.
  2. Are these two diaphragms the same? If not, which one will fit? Is one better than the other?
  3. I am getting these for my klf30's. Klipsches sell for so cheap around my area. I got my klf30 for 300 and there is another one for 350. Would the driver/diaphragm be of any use to me? or should I just get the diaphragms?
  4. i have the pw-2100 and it is a very nice subwoofer for music. Build quality is very good. I am sure the pw-2200 will be good for home theatre.
  5. I read somewhere on this forum that the klf-30's mid diaphragm can be replaced with the K-52 Ti diapghram. I have had good experience with titanium tweeters from bob crites. Does anyone know where I can get some of these diapgrhams? Thank you
  6. My KLF30 blows my Forte II's out of the water. Much cleaner sound, punchier bass. The Forte II's, however are stock while the KLF30 are modded with BC crossover rebuild and titanium diaphragms.
  7. There are some cheap industrial la scala's for sale near me... are they any good compared to the regular la scalas? The industrial la scalas im talking about is the one with seperate horn and bass enclosures.
  8. I wonder how KLF20's compare with KLF30's.. my KLF30s are amazing. You can increase the feeling by just turning up the volume!
  9. Wow... I just installed installed the capacitors on my klf-30's. Even though I havent broken them in long enough yet, the sound is MUCH better in my opinion. The tweeters seem much more controlled. It used to be very bright and would hurt my ears, but now i can listen to them for hours! It seems to have cleaned up my bass as well. I would recommend this to anyone. Bob sent the rebuild kit next day with priority shipping and it came very fast. The schematic was also had some instructions for simplicity.
  10. I just checked the crossovers on my klf-30's and they look fairly new. Are there any noticible differences when upgrading to the Crites crossovers?
  11. I have KLF-30's... got them for 300 a pair. I have not heard better.
  12. I set it around 100 hz crossed over. It sounds good now. I like the punch that the subwoofer gives. I set the KLF-30's to "small" and plugged the subwoofer into my Oppo 980h dvd player. Are the original capacitors in the crossover still good? I wonder if I can improve my speakers by replacing them to a audiophile quality one.
  13. I have a passive preamp and I am unable to adjust the crossover. It is basically just a volume controller. I put the subwoofer on one of the other outputs of that preamp (unbuffered) while speaker amps go onto buffered. I adjusted it last night and it sounds good now.. But some songs have a grunt to the subwoofer that I don't like. I like pure clean bass..
  14. This HSU midbass module seems really interesting.. can it be used for exaggerated bass in mid bass? I wanna listen to one of these!
  15. Alot of people are against EQ's in this forum, but I think I need to adjust the sound a bit to my taste. I have been thinking about an EQ for a longgg time... Even some good Mcintosh preamps have bass and treble control
