  1. My Cornwalls are "Type COL" and my Heresys are "Type HOL". I assume that the "C" and "H" refer to Cornwall and Heresy, respectively, and that the "O" is probably Oak, but I have no clue as to the "L" (lacquer maybe?). Does anyone know how to decipher Klipsch's three letter type designations? Thanks. James
  2. My two channel system for music is a B&K ST-140 amp with a Carver CT-17 pre-amp/tuner driving a pair of 1981 Cornwalls. I just got a Denon AVR-1804 AV surround receiver and a Klipsch SC-1 center channel speaker. I set up the system using a pair of Paradigm book shelf speakers for the front channels. After watching a couple of DVD's I thought the sound would be a WHOLE lot better if I could use the Cornwalls for the front channels, but I still want to be able to drive them with the B&K for music. Since the two systems are never on at the same time, I connected a second set of speaker wires from the Denon to the Cornwalls. The HT sounds MUCH MUCH better! My question is: am I doing any harm with this setup, i.e. having the Cornwalls connected to two different amps? Thanks. James
