I'm using a 6 yr old Pioneer DVD Player (model # unknown, at this time-but model # is irrelevant) Ive noticed recently on some DVD's, some corrupting of the pixels during playback. The video & audio gets scrambled up and eventually the player stalls and locks up. I think I know the answer to this, but is it time to replace ?

Test drove the Synergy and RF-35's. Bought the RF-35's and very happy for it. Wonderful reproduction and beautiful light cherry finish keeps the wife happy

DENON AVR-3805 expandible to 7.1 system ( which you will use...someday) AUto Room Calibation which is a super feature and Denons Room EQ takes less than 3 minutes as opposed to Yamaha and others that take more like 10. SS Decoding is done by an ANALOG DEVICES SHARC DSP. It's the best multi-channel surround sound decoder chip on the market. I had a chance last week to go to an audio equiptment show in san francisco. I was amazed at how many pieces of audio equiptment contain these chips. I would not purchase an avr unless it had a SHARC ( also a cool name - good marketing !!) inside. The 3805 is a great receiver, with 110 WP Ch. , multizone capabilities, quality components, all the latest DPL and DTS decoders etc.. Buy It Now ! Go to Tweeter !

Best Buy is authorized to sell the Synergy line only. I must say I had the same aprehension using on-line distributoirs. Just bought a pair of RF-35's ,Cherry, from electronics-expo.com and had a good experience. speakers arrived in 5 days. no damages or problems. Just check boxes on arrival and don't accept if damaged. ( or Maybe I just got lucky ! )

Ive got the 2805. GREAT, Clean Receiver w/ 90 WP/Ch. 3805's got 110 WP/Ch. Both great receivers, You cant go wrong either way. The auto cal is a super feature and set ups room EQ, etc.. in less than 3 mins. Faster and more accurate than any other amp on the market. I use the 2805 with a new set of RF-35's and KSW-12 Sub. Simpy Awesome !

No Problems, at all. Speakers arrived just 6 days after ordering. Packaged very well. Look and Sound MINT, PLeased with the price. !! No local dealers, of which there are 2) were willing to touch the <$595.00 price tag. Wish I made the change over to Klipsch sooner. If anyones looking for a good DTS demo dish, try their Blue Man Group DVD. It's encoded in DTS 96/24, DPL, DVD-A and really gives the speakers a workout !

My cherry RF-35's just arrived and I replaced my 10 yr old BOSE 601 SERIES III'S. WOW - what a difference. Like night and day. (I lost my respect for the BOSE !) TIGHTROPE, by Stevie Ray Vaugh just screamed out of the RF-35's where they were clouded and dull and even muffled by the BOSE !! and great base out of these speakers. Very, Very Impressed !! Worse part is that they arrive the night before I had to leave for a week of biz travel...rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh !!so I did not get to truely appreciate these babys yet !! Purchased them from Electronics-expo on line. Delivered in under 1 week, <$700.

I just bought th RW-12. It sounds very good and adds "life" to 2 and 5 ch. music and HT and nicely completes my audio sysyem. I have it set up in a large 21x24 room w/ vaulted ceiling and though I'm very pleased with its' performance, kinda wish I had test-driven the 15", as the room is large. In short-You won't be disappointed !

Just ordered a pair of RF-35's online through electronics-expo.com. $700.00, cherry finish, delivered. Must admit, I'm a bit nervous ordering speakers online-but price was $300 less than local dealer. Anyone have any experience dealing with these folks ??

Thanks to all for the replies. What is the most efficient means of selling high quality, used audio equiptment these days ?? Any particular web sites ? (( Suddenly, I have these BOSE 601 Series II's to find a new home for .................))

...yeah, I know, What took you soo long ?!?! Finally decided to update the speaker system and am putting the BOSE 601 Series III to rest and replacing them with a pair of RF-25's and a RW-12 Sub. The speakers and sub are going into a 504 sq ft room with vaulted ceiling. Powering this set with a DENON AVR-2805. Mainly listening at low/mid level volumes and occasionally ( when wife is out )louder volumes. Finally to the ?? - Are the RF-25's enough to fill a room of this size ?
