Vini Rossi is one amp designer i've read about, whose earlier amps had an internal battery that charged off the wall and then powered the speakers using the battery only.

I would recommend a slightly different approach to this. 1 Beefy 5 channel amp, putting out 200 watts a channel. Be quite hard to overdrive this too. Silent, reliable and only requiring one power outlet. Diminishes possible ground loop issues with extra gear plugged in. The Rotel RMB 1095. Look for one of these or equivalent. Even the Rotel 1075 would work well. Or possibly their newer Class D multi channel amps.

Bought the soundtrack to this movie years back. Quite a few good songs on it, including the poignant Peter Gabriel song "I Grieve" Also this guy's voice impresses me with its clarity, Jude "I know."

I started exploring minimalism the first time I hooked up a tiny little T-amp to my system about 15 years ago or so. It was impressive to say the least. Tremendous bass and control in such a small package.

This model is what used to be in my Old Man's bedroom system when I was a kid. When he bought these, I got his Altec speakers as hand me downs, forgot the model, but they had one 15" coaxial driver in them, with nice cane grills. After he replaced the DM6's, they flanked our family room tv for years afterwards. Aint they pretty. Look how they stand proudly on their own feet and come with dials and switches too. They also were kickass speakers if memory serves.

As long as the image remains bright and keeps you happy, no need to rush into another purchase, whether bulb or new projector. Just a heads up about your PJ hours alert. It may shut down and not turn on once it reaches 2000 hours. Many do that. If that happens, just follow the procedure to reset the bulb hours back to zero and then keep using it until you decide the image is too dim, or because the bulb implodes. 😀 As that may happen at some point.
