  2. Lived very close buy. A gentle giant. The most telling comments about the man are not his success as a football player but his love of family and god. How he treated others and how genuine he was and how he lived his life.
  3. just completed my home theater this week. Yamaha 5790, Klipsch RF 7, RS 35, RC 3 II, RSW 15 sub. Sony Wega 50 Inch LCD sitting in my new Entertainment center.
  4. Reading about the NAD recievers? Are there huge advantages in going with separtes? Could I go with just an amp added to this reciever. It has that capability or should I sell my current and go with seperates?
  5. Yes it does seem bright to me. For movies it does an outstanding job. But now that I have these RF 7's I want more from the music side. I noticed Rotel was offered as an suggestion. May reasearch this as an alternative. From a movie standpoint happy with the yamaha. Want a warm sound for music and at the same time maintain or improve the movie sound from the Yamaha.
  6. Need advice. I currently have a Yamaha HTR 5790 reciever with RF 7's front speakers. Keep reading about how bright this reciever is. If I change to another Pioneer Elite or BK will it make a hughe difference?
  7. Need some advice. I just purchased the RSW 15 sub. I need answeres to how the polarity, low pass enable/disable, and low pass crossover frequency (40-120) should be set for my home theather set up. I currently am waiting on RF 7 fronts to come in. In the mean time I want to listen to this new sub. I have small speakers(Quinett II satellites) set up currently for fronts. Here are my questions: With the small speakers up front how should I set the following and why? Please answer for a novice who is anxious to learn. Polarity - does it matter? Low Pass Enable/Disable Low Pass Crossover - I assume this is only important if the low pass is enabled. If the low pass is enabled what is the best crossover freq. for small speakers. My understandings is the crossover helps to blend the sub with the fronts. If I am correct I would assume that this is important and may be affected by the type and quality of the speakers you are using. Same questions above when my RF7's replace the small satelittes up front? Polarity Low Pass Enable/Disable Low Pass Crossover I thank all for your time in helping educate a novice.
  8. Picked up on Thursday. We have a family movie night every Friday. We rent or buy what is out for that week. Shrek 2 was showing in my theather last weekend. 10. Got the RF 7's today for $1550. I ran a search of all of the authorized dealers in the area and used that to get the price. Very excited. My RSW 15 came in today. Life is looking and going to sound really good!!!
  11. Any other suggestions on best for price that is authorized to get the RF7's. Would need them shipped.
  12. Any thoughts on how the RC 3II will do as my center. I hit my limit when I buy these 7's.
  13. How about the price on the RF 7's
  14. Okay I am getting ready to make my purchase and am having a difficult time making a decision. I currently have the following set up: RC 3 II RS35 RSW 15 Want to get the right Front speakers RF 7's or RF 5's. Had thought about RF 35's but narrowed choice to these two. The room these are going in is very open. The room opens to a breakfast area in the back, the Kitchen and Foyer to the right. The total room dimensions measure 25 X 22. This does not include the Kitchen Area but does include the breakfast area. Our furniture is combined in the room with in these measurements 17 X 17. The distance from the speakers would be 10-12 feet from the sweet spot. We have high ceilings in this room as well about 15 Foot. Using the speakers 60% movies and 40% Music. Will the RF 7's be overkill or should I go with the RF 5's. I am leaning toward the 7's. Give me some thoughts Thanks I have a authorized dealer with these quotes good or bad?: RF35 normally $999.94 pair for $899.94 discount of $100 RF5 normally $1399.94 pair for $1259.94 discount of $140 RF7 normally $1999.94 pair for $1799.94 discount of $200 If I'm not here just ask for Steve and he will get you taken care of. the RF5 and RF7 we will have to order. I do want to thank you for stopping by and allowing me to assist you with your speaker needs. Richard Hovis
  15. Price between the RF 5 and RF 35. I do not want to go as high as the RF7. Will either of these 5 or 35 do the job?
  16. I am trying to make my decision on which one of these to go with. I have a large open living room with High Ceilings. The room opens to our Kitchen. I will be using these for 75 movie 25 music. I currently have this to add to them: RSW 15 Sub RSB 35 Surround RC 3 II Center Price is not the decision for me on these.
