  1. bruschi54 Man, you must have some prophetic intellect! I recently ordered a Yamaha RX-V1600 and I'm asking myself the very same question. I own a Yamaha MX-830 power amp which I currently use with my Yamaha RX-V1400. I have a pair of Klipsch RP-3's w/ RC-35 for center. I hate the thought of retiring my power amp simply because I purchased a new front end. Does anyone have an educated reason why I shuld retire "Old Ironside" (MX-830)?
  2. Okay, Okay. I'm gonna sandbag this decision. If you don't buy it I will. If you bring it home and it gives you an eye sore, you can always turn it around on ebay and make a profit! Trust me, this is a win, win situation.
  3. Hey Dude, If I'm reading you response correctly you are looking for the "Control Saucer" or decoder. You can purchase it at the online store directly from Klipsch for about $79. What the heck here's the link: http://www.klipsch.com/product/product.aspx?cid=790 Let me know if this is the product. Good luck! -Brady
  4. Well, I'm not having any luck at all. I'm attempting to share my last woodworking project. I'll figure it out later, perhaps in the morning?

  9. Sorry Endover, I renamed you Endeavor - I'm an USAF Vet and a space shuttle fan.
  10. Thanks Endeavor, Yep it's the real deal. It was unfinished Red Oak (beveled edges) toungue and groove when we started. I applied two coats of Min-Wax Red Oak stain (2 coats) and Min-Wax Satin Poly (3 coats). The total job consumed 3 days. But as you can see it was well worth it. In fact if you look closely at the baseboard you can still see spots of stain that was rubbed into the flooring. I have not installed my 1/4 round baseboard yet. If I had to do it all over again I would not change a thing. The floor helps with my projector imaging. I had light carpet previously and it magnified the light from the screen (92" diag). By the way, I'd go ahead and install that wood floor anyway. Look at it like this if your kids drop something on that carpet it's there for LIFE! You can vacuum all day long you'll never get it out. The wonderful thing about wood is that it actually shows you where the dirt is. If you scratch it up, so what! Simply lightly sand it and apply clearcoat, NOT STAIN! You need stain only once. Unless of course you want a different shade. Trust me Endeavor carpet is the easy way out. Please reconsider install the wood. Take care -Brady
  11. Good to hear that we have an Infocus fan out there that made the migration from CRT even. I currently use an Infocus X1 for my application, I have owned it for approx 18 mos. it' paired w/ a Da-Lite HCCV screen. I was about to upgrade to the 4805 and I have noticed that the longer I wait the more the prices plummet. I'll hang in there for the rest of the year to see what'll happen this fall. Take care -Brady
  12. Once again, This is a pic of my newly install Red Oak floor, HT attached. -Brady
