  1. My mothers husband has a bose 5.1 system. And by far the best part about it is the mute button and then you can turn the TV speakers up and at least understand male voices. Seriously, I dont even think the speakers have been over for months, they are crap! I could build a better speaker out of legos.
  2. the rw-12 can be had for around 400-450 if you really hunt. SVS has a return policy, but it will cost you 100 in shipping (to your home and back again) The PB12-ISD is a better subwoofer, but its more expensive.
  3. I think what made the ultra sub so much better than its counterpart was the increase in voice coil and cabinet volume which allowed for a lower tuning fq. There was also definitely something wrong with the older port. The 5.1 more so than the 4.1 and 2.1 But the 5.1 THX's had some serious port noise issues when running hot (loud).

Cause I dont have time for other custom Projects being in ITT...i get plenty of them. Lets bump the price up to $500.00 or so. What Can I get for that, Give me the best Sub that is Plug and Play like im asking for up to $500.00 ---------------- The PB10 may not be the best solution to add to your ultra. It does not have a crossover control, so the subwoofer will be hitting pretty hard around 150hrz creating some nasty overlap with your sats. The lack of crossover control really limits you with this subwoofer in your special situation. It would be advantageous to go with a more expensive sv subwoofer or consider another brand.
  5. Twin pb12+/2 or better yet, a b12/4.
  6. SVS drivers only need 500 watts to perform. How many watts does your sunfire have again?
  7. Im sure 3 pb10's would lay waste a sunfire sig.

So it's 116 dB. ---------------- Technicality speaking this is partially correct. But that is not accounting for constructive interference, which also means you can have deconstructive interference and actually have LESS bass than before! This is unlikely but I would say you will have somewhere in-between +3 to +6 dB gain depending on your phase shift. Its important to have an SPL meter to get this perfect. IMO, I would say go with dual RW-12's. You'll probably get more headroom and definitely a lot more cabinet volume out of the two powered drivers, but the output it will be very close between the dual rws vs the single rsw. The other notable advantage with the RW-12 is the placement features. As front firing front ported drivers, you can put them back up against any wall or even build flush into a wall. That might be pretty cool later down the road.
