  1. I edited my post above and changed out the image. I had the wrong transformer model on there. Mike, it is the stock Klipsch K-691. XO is DBX Venu360 10" B&C in a custom box ported about 70 Hz https://www.bcspeakers.com/en/products/lf-driver/10-0/8/10nw76-8 Subs are lab 12s in sealed box
  2. This product I've used in more than one system and I own 2 of them. I feel it doesn't degrade the sound. Makes those vintage amps dead quiet when hooked to a pro active XO. JW may not approve...but it helps me. The bottom MC250 is all RCA from the Mac preamp to the Heresys. The top one I have the Jenson to use that with dbx and MC250 amp for the Klipsch horns. Quiet as a mouse.
  3. Hey. I've heard and seen the beautiful MC2100s rebuilt by JW..... their Mark1101. Some time ago, I had my MC250s reworked. Quiet and clean. They shine in this new setup in a little room. https://northreadingengcom.ipage.com/forum/index.php?topic=3.0
  4. Amazing work. I'm shocked you are able to preserve the lettering on the chrome. I'm still enjoying the two MC250's you turned into perfect condition. Attachment is a quick wired setup in a newly refinished small room. Can you do amazing things to a MC225? jc 1586.mp4
  5. Very good speaker. I bought a pair at the same time you did. Don't sell them....I think they were the best of the KG series. Yes I would change out the capacitors....I'm an Auricap fan
  6. Yea. Really like to see pictures
  7. Does anybody have a frequency response of this speaker. Does it require EQ? Is it really usable down to 800 hz?
  8. In honor of my past bud CigarBum https://www.barrettfh.com/obituary/robert-greene
  9. Man. What is wrong with me. I'm on that thread. Embarrassing. Anyway, RIP to all those guys who were passionate about this place.
  10. First time I've seen this thread. That list of those gone is sad to think about. I had no idea Roger passed. Anyone want to share the brief details of that? Seems it wasn't so long ago he and I were discussing that huge KP600 system that he has. I would add CigarBum to the list. Bob Greene from North Georgia who passed about two years ago. Retired Railroad man that I visited often. He had a cabin full of Klipsch. jc
  11. He started with 5. I got the first two. Mint
  12. PM me pics of what you have. There are 3 different horn assemblies in that system
  13. Impressive review Audioholics: Klipsch RP-1600SW Measurements & Conclusion https://www.audioholics.com/subwoofer-reviews/klipsch-rp-1600sw-sub/conclusion
  14. I'm surprised he didn't put it on the Upscale site
  15. Yes those are behind the screen XO's. I've owned more than one pair of those for these systems. They do work in the home but you will need an out board EQ. It doesn't have to be digital either......I was able to get by with Minimal slider EQ adjustments. Mainly you will have to tone down some of the Higher frequencies.
  16. What is your DSP source? I would EQ the low end a little with a boost shelf around 60hz then put a high pass -48dB at 40hz. Try with and without roomeq after that if available. Ive had poor experience with AVR room EQ on several units
  17. Mike what 2A3 tube amp did you have runnin the top end of your jubilees over 15 years ago in the Hope lab? And curious what was the low end amp?
