And they have the upgraded xovers. Do you HAVE to have black? Michael ---------------- Thanks, but... I'm interested only in the RC-7 for the setup in question...
  2. Thanks for everyones replies... I picked up an RC-3 II for another room from DecibleLvr ... Take care, TIM
  3. Any time... I've seen several but haven't bitten on any yet... Just drop me a line when you're ready... Thanks, TIM
  4. Thanks Raymond but I'm gonna try and find an RC-3...if I have no luck, I'll drop you a line...Thanks again...
  5. Hi... I'm thinking of picking up a RC-3 or RC-3II for use in another room... Thought I'd check hear before anywhere else on the web... Thanks, TIM
  6. Hey Guys... Went back and reviewed the room and sitting areas once again and it would be difficult to use the RS-35's as surrounds in that room due to lack of positioning and mounting availability... I'm leaning now towards keeping a floorstanding speaker for the Rears... I'll move the Jamos to another room where I can utilize them with an unused Sub for a 2.1 system... So... with the RP-5's up front (each having a built in Sub) and the RC-7 Center... What Towers should I go for in the Rear? I would think the RF-5 would be too much... Would a used RF-3, RF-3II, or a New RF-35 match better? Thanks, TIM
  7. I've tried searching for Dealers in my area but it appears that either most of them do not carry certain speakers, they are no longer in business, etc... I use to go to a Tweeter's location in Raleigh, NC but they no longer carry the Klipsch Line... Anyone have a recommended dealer in the North Carolina Area? Thanks, TIM
  8. Klipsch recommended the RC-3 and RC-3 II Centers to be used to match the RP-5s back several years ago and from what I can tell...most people with RC-3s, RC-35's, etc... all go back for the RC-7 ... so I don't think I'll have any issues with the RC-7 ... I was just curious if I needed to match my rears... It sounds as if I don't for DVD playback... Does the wedged design give a better disbursement of sound by the design vs. a tower design? Thanks, TIM
  9. Hi Guys, My current system consists of the following: - Yamaha RX-V1300 Receiver Pushing... - Klipsch KV-1 Center Channel Speaker - Klipsch RP-5 Main Speaker Towers (Each including a 550W powered 12" Sub) - Jamo 98 Rear Speaker Towers - Klipsch SB-1 Bookshelf Speakers - B Output I'm going to be moving the KV-1 to the Rear Center and purchasing a RC-7 for my Front Center... The question I have is in regards to my Rear Speakers... as you see I have 2 Jamo 98 Towers (consist of 1 tweeter and 2 mids, each). I've been enjoying them for some time now but have begun to wonder if I would be better off using some of the Klipsch Surrounds (the wedged type)... Such as the SS-1's or the newer versions... I'm not sure if I should stick with these towers as they might or might not compliment my other speakers well... Thanks, TIM
  10. Thanks Michael... I've looked around and have my eye on a couple leads...if things pan out... Tim
  11. Hi all, I'm looking to add the RC-7 to my setup... (It must be Black) If you have one for sale or know of someone or somewhere that does, please post up or e-mail me at classic_time@hotmail.com Thanks, TIM
  12. Mark, Sweet setup you've got there... Did you have to drill holes in the bottom of your RC-7, or does it come with the necessary mount hole(s) already pre-installed? Thanks, TIM
  13. Thanks for the reply... I'd love to have an RC-7 but I don't see any way to place it... Because of the layout of the room, my 57" Toshiba 57HDX82 is placed in a corner... I may be able to install a Shelf in the corner, not sure... but I deffinetly don't think my Projection would be able to support the close to 42 lbs. of the RC-7 ... Maybe I'm wrong... Any experience with this? Thanks, TIM
  14. Hi all, I'm wanting to take my old KV-1 that I'm currently using as my center and move it to the rear to complete the 6.1 system... I want to replace it with either a RC-25, RC-35, RC-3, or RC-3 II ... I would love to have the RC-7 but Size and $ are the main factors against this... My mains consist of the RP-5's ... and for those of you who don't exactly remember the RP-5's, they are very similar to the RF-5's except they each contain a Powered Sub. ... These mains were originally intended to be matched with the RC-3 but I'm not sure if the newer RC's would be better than finding a used RC-3 or RC-3 II ... I'll be pushing these speakers by using my Yamaha RXV-1300 as a pre-amp to a Marantz MM-9000 Amp (150 x 5) ... Oh yea, for rears I'm using some Jamo Floorstanding speakers that I've had for a while and really love 'em ... I may look into changing these out for some used SS-1's or even new RS-25's or RS-35's ... Let me know what you all think... Thanks, TIM
  15. Thanks Amonteiro.... After I posted last night, I finally realized why I wasn't using the "dedicated LFE inputs" on the RP-5s... I also have a seperate JBL Sub that my receiver is connected to...which pulls all of the LFE signals... Do you think I should connect all 3 subs... I'm not sure... Because I've noticed that with the LFE turned down on my reciever, I still have plenty of BASS during DVD material... I'll give the bi-wiring a try and see if I notice any differences... Thanks, TIM
  16. Hi all, I've got a set of RP-5's that I've had for a couple years now and love them... These are the floor towers that have the built in sub and 150w amp. Just recently I've been wondering if I should Bi-wire them... I never have... and I've read that it can improve the sound...(if this is possible...they already sound great) ... Should I? or NOT? I have a Yamaha 110 x 6 amp powering them currently... I've also noticed that on the back of the speaker I have two sets or rca phono jacks... for dedicate LFE inputs, etc... What are these for??? What would I ever plug into these and why? Thanks, TIM
