Well, they're pretty old. I almost bought one, and did a little bit of research. I found a few reviews from the early 90's. But around here, older gear is sort of like aged wine! There's nothing wrong with older gear. And the price seems decent. The one I was supposed to get was priced at 200, then he got a lot of hits, and raised the price to 400.

I can't wait to see it when it's all done!!!

I'm using my receiver as a pre/pro for now. It sounds great! But I'll more than likely make the move to ROTEL later on down the road. I would recommend looking on Audiogon for a nice used ROTEL......

Yes, the S2's will be fine for your system. Also, there's someone selling a complete 3 series setup in teh garage sale section. You may be able to talk him into separating, and selling you the S3's. But the 2's will do fine..........

Well, FWIW, the S2's are what's recommended for my system, and I went with S1's. I think they sound great!

Maybe because you're in a different part of the state? I'm not sure, but last week was bad also. But, OTOH, my folks came down 3 weeks ago for a week, and the weather was gorgeous! It looks like we're going to get a little bit of a break. It's really nice today, throughout the weekend, but it's supposed to get bad again starting Tuesday.......

Like already said, Emotiva and Rotel get a lot of praise around here. As you look for an amp, don't forget about the used market also. (Audiogon, C list, EBay) I know me and Youthman have found some outstanding deals!!!

Yes, we get tornadoes also. This makes the third day in a row that we're in a tornado watch. Last week, we went into tornado warning a couple times......... I came here from England, where I thought it rained a lot. I thought I had left all that rain behind for the "Sunshine State" lol........

I'm having a hard time figuring out why Fl is called the sunshine state? It's been raining, hard, for about a week now. Thunderstorm after thunderstorm! We looked it up today, and it rains more here than in England! Average annual rainfall is about 50" here. And on top of that, I just learned today that Fl's the thunderstorm capital of the U.S. Last summer we had 4 hurricane scares. To the point that we packed our bags, and just waited for the official evac order. Never got one, but still. FOUR different times, one weekend after the next, etc........... So, can someone tell me why this is the sunshine state??? [*-)]

We had something like this come to our house about a month ago. Our check was for 5,770 bucks. It was a bank of america check; so we took it up to them. They looked into it, and turned it into their fraud department. We never heard anything back from them about it ...............

I've never heard anything about the last two subs you mentioned. The Sub 10 has a bad "rep" around here for amp failures. I've never heard the KSW 10, but it seems like a good deal at that price!

We bought it on BD when it came out. Great pic and sound was amazing; but it was a lame movie IMO. Poor acting, etc. But......... the kids liked so that's all that matters!

I used Sanus. What's your budget? Wood technology makes some good ones. Check racks and stands.com I say 36" because you want your surrounds up high enough. I have mine mounted on the wall at 5'..........

I'm going to recommend the Sub 12.............. I absolutely love this thing!
