  1. heres one for you guys, i see a pair of heresys for sale or at leastt the guy is advertiseing them as heresys, but he says they have a 10" woofer, and he cant find a serial# on them, in my limited experience i thought heresy had a 12" woofer, i confronted the seller he replied the older heresy 1 had a 10" woofer and the 2's came out with 12" can anyone help with this, also would the serial# be stamped in the wood as it is on my cornwalls or would that only be on the labels (inspection tag)

  4. hello again i have to say this is one of the best sites i have found on the internet after buying my cornwalls and subscribeing to this forum you all are some very helpful paople its nice to have a place you can go and ask questions and get good straight advice without all the ignorance so thank you all, on to my ? i have been in the process of restoreing my love for music after a long relationship with a woman who i gave up all my belongings in order to give her and her kids the things they wanted now shes gone and its my turn, i managed to put togeather a fairly decent system to date, phase linear 400 amps, 4000 pre-amp, 5000 tuner, onkyo cp1260f turntable, pioneer ct-f1000 cassette, nakamichi rx202, and a couple spare pieces, have accuired over 1000 cassettes, and am up to almost 400 albums ( i love the vinyl ) my question is what is the best way to clean an album buying off the internet mostly i end up getting some great deals on the old classic rock i love but i also get some vinyl that has been abused for years and needs serious cleaning, and they put out a ton of background noise static when played are they even cleanable?? thanks for all you help to date and i hope to get some good advice here on this one Joe
  5. hi i recently bought my first set of klipsch speakers (cornwall 1) and over the years i have heard alot of talk about tube equipment sounding better etc..., i have ouned a few systems but never a tube system and am interested in the diff in the sound quality, would also like to know if you have to run all tube equipment or can they be mixed with solid state. ie can you run a tube amp, a tube pre amd and a solid state tuner or cd i am currently running mostly phase linear gear aand am overall happy with the sound especially with vinyl or cass. cd seems to be a little harsh but thats why they have a volume knob. ive been considering buying a reasonable smaller tube set up just to see what all the fuss is. i am on a tight budget also that makes it hard to get very deep into the tube gear any info will be of help and will be appreciated Joe
  6. hello the original woofer is a square magnet k33, the other is not even a klipsch woofer it is an off brand sounds decent but im kinda anal about my gear and want all original there is a guy on ebay selling the remains of a set of k-horns, and he has the woofers with the square magnets but i cant tell if they are k-33 pics are to fuzzy , is the k-33 the only woofer they used. thanks for the response at least i have the year and to my limited knowledge these ar cornwall 1 when you say built in 1977. and they are black lacquer i bought them with the understanding they were cornwall 2, of course im happy they are 1's the older the better for me thanks again Joe
