  1. If you are putting the speaker in a enclosed space (cabinet) then yes the RC35 would be better since it is front ported. EDIT EDIT...Nevermind my last statement, looking at the spec sheet I realized the RC3 was a sealed enclosure.
  2. It is clearly not the ideal speaker. Depending on how loud you plan on listening it will have a hard time "keeping up" with the RF3.
  3. Super score! Come on be honest now, I bet it took all you could do to not set the guy straight about the HUGE mistake he was making with the BOSE system. []
  4. One of the most comical threads I have read in months. DJNICK, it is not the typing that is the problem. The fact that you can't understand that, lies the problem.
  5. Pee Wee also had a part in a Cheech & Chong movie. I cant remember which one it was, but I think he played a hotel clerk. It has been so long since I watched it.
  6. How about this guy? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-dHXXwfZUWc&feature=related
  7. This thread reads like a classic Beavis & Butthead episode.[] One of their worst bands was Grim Reaper, and the videos were far worse than the music. The lead singer looked like a 80's Cabbage Patch Doll.
  8. Biggest one for me off the top of my head is Phil Collins. Sususudeo blah blah.[+o(](yes I know thats not how it is spelled)
  9. I have also demoed both Focal and Klipsch. At the time I was looking to upgrade my current system to either the RF63 or RF83. The place where I demoed didnt have the speakers in the same room but they were in dedicated rooms next to each other. If I remember correctly the Focal had dual ports, one on underside and one in front. I want to say it was the Focal Chorus 826. This is a 3-way design versus 2-way for the Klipsch. I preferred the Focal, I thought they were warmer and smoother. Possibly the difference between a 2-way and a 3-way design I dont know. Both were powered by the same electronics- McIntosh. I listened to Pink Floyd, Dire Straits, and Van Halen. I dont have any Focal dealers near me anymore. It is getting harder and harder to find a good dealer to demo equipment.
  10. I think we should inject some humour so JB feels welcome and at home. TOP NOTCH.
  11. Congrats on the new center(s). I think you will find that you like the RC35 better. I believe it is a beefier center, although I have not demo'ed the 52. The RC35 is the equivalent to the RC62 which is the big brother to the 52. The 52 may voice better with the 81's since they are both from the same generation. Watch movies with a lot of left-center-right panning and choose the one with the most seamless soundstage. Most Pixar films are very good with this type of audio. Good luck.
  12. Its ok if you like Toy Story, you dont need to blame it on the kids for watching it 100x anymore.[]
  13. Exactly the reason I paid somebody to do it for me.[]
  14. I was just wondering the same thing after being in Mag/BB earlier today. There was nothing on the demo floor, but there was a open box clearance of Icon34's. I thought it a bit strange, but glad I'm not in the market for any Klipsch in the near future, since there is now NOWHERE to buy Klipsch arond here.
  15. Ok let me clarify. I tried to get the dealer to release the software to me and he wouldnt budge. It was then that I decided I didnt want to hassle with it. When he was finished doing his programming with the remote and MRF-350, I went and uploaded the program and software to my computer. I can now go in and tweak my remote. I am usually a hands-on person and technical but I had no desire to fiddle with the programming. It was actually nice to sit back for a change and be catered to.
  16. I am a fan of URC products. I am currently using the MX900. Only downside was I had to have a dealer program it, but I know it is done correctly and didnt get frustrated trying to get everything to work properly.
  17. Wow, my bracket is trash. I guess I will start pulling for the local boys. Kentucky Wildcats- this town needs a good party.
  18. I wasnt as surprised by the Vandy loss as I was the Georgetown loss. I had Georgetown going to the Elite Eight. I lost 4 games on day one, which means I will have a good day today. That is how its been in the past anyway. I am really scared for UK in the 2nd round with the way they shot so well in round 1. They are a streaky shooting team and rarely have had back to back games with a high shooting%.
  19. My Final Four are Kansas, Syracuse hopefully the big man's quad is a non-issue, W.Virginia, and Villanova. I didnt realize I had three Big East teams till after I submitted my bracket. That cant be a good thing.
  20. Thats right, it is time for the NCAA tourney. Name your national champ here. Even though I am in Lexington and Kentucky is the clear cut favorite around here, I am going the opposite of everybody else here and picking KANSAS. This might turn out to be my retirement money. [] KANSAS
  21. I was up in Eagan Minnesota last week for work and spotted some Klipsch in a Noodles & Company restaurant. I thought the sound sounded familiar. They looked like a outdoor speaker.
  22. I just thought it was a given: DONT PEE ON POWER LINES.
  23. Yes Friday night will be a good one for sure. Iowa is most definitely #1[]. I will be interested to watch the Brent Metcalf match, he is a beast. Yep I remember those snowfalls vividly. I am amazed; here in Lexington we have gotten 5 inches (total) of snow the last two days and they just called off school for the third day this week. Unreal.
