  1. Your mind is a steel trap!
  2. Funny thing, Cathy has been using hand signals since this went out a week ago. You should see how many people wave at her!
  3. Back in the earliest days of Klipsch & Associates metal manufacturing facilities were few and far between. That's why the earliest of Mr. Paul's loudspeaker designs had actual slices of pie attached to the grills.
  4. Sounds like an old Chuck Jones cartoon!
  5. Oh, I know. I'm giddy as a school girl. I treated myself to a new air filter. Woohoo!
  6. Thanks, guys. My daughter's friend was able to get far enough in there to snip a ziptie, which dropped the whole mess down within reach of my grubby hands. Turns out it pulls straight out, no clip-thing, AND it was the problem, so IT'S FIXED!!
  7. I'm attempting to repair non-working turn signal/hazard lights in my wife's '98 Sienna. I'm testing fuses and the flasher first (I REALLY don't want to spend $451 in a bloody combo switch). The flasher is under the dash in a real inconvenient location, in terms of getting good grips on both the flasher and its holder, both of which I can't see. I don't think there is any way to pry it out (battery disconnected) without the probability of cracking something. Anyone have a good trick for this?
  8. That's my HT speaker lineup exactly. KSP-S6's are the surrounds that exactly match the 400s and C6, but the KSF-S5s are NO SLOUCH (es) and sound great together.
  9. You were, Grasshopper. Right friggin' on. They can send a man to the Moon, right? I guess you could send m00n to The Man (but I don't think he deserves that.). Good to see you're still here helping folks, Noah.
  10. You've no doubt tried to convince him that he doesn't actually NEED no stinking badges, right? ESPECIALLY if he's using them to watch old John Huston films.
  11. 100% correct, Dad. thank you son, moms worried about you she hasn't heard from you in awhile. Tell Mom not to worry. I sure miss her. Can you send her photo, and that stand it was on? You know, the one with the crazy wood pattern. It would mean so much to me. And to Mom.
  12. Beautiful setup. Did you build the plinth?
  13. Excellent report, Mike. I have one of these as well, although I haven't played it in months (oldest daughter still using the living room as her storage unit). When she finally moves out...again (fingers crossed), it will be like rediscovering music. Nice also to hear you like the sound better than the Rega. And isn't Dee the best?

    new friends

I have a Patricia Barber CD around here somewhere. Kind of a Diana Krall vibe. I'm not familiar with the others, Dee.
  15. Not yet, but she showed me an online tutorial for one!
  16. Almost a year later! Since my last post on the subject, Paloma has gotten a paid internship with MAKE magazine, working in the shop, getting to "make" all sorts of weird and wonderful things. The other day she asked, "Dad, do you have a spare turntable that you don't mind me setting on fire?" She's begun making Youtube tutorials showing how to do all this terribly disturbing makeup. Nice! Sorry, my browser won't let me make it a live link!
  17. I'm so close to pulling the trigger on that Barbie clock...
  18. Lee, sorry, but I'm next in line for Budman's RR Corns. ;^) Remind me about your Belles. Are they the Ramblin' Rose finish as well? I just wish I could find a veneer that's similar.

    Heresy I grill

    Perhaps they're repairable.
  20. Craig, I'm awfully sorry to hear about your wife's illness. I wish her and you all the best. Good luck with the sales! Hang in there, buddy.
