  1. Thanks, I just got a set of '78 Heresys and can get a decent price on another set but I have to have 'em shipped at near a "C" note...this places their price near what someone local (if he still has them...no resopnse from e-mail yet) has a set of Forte IIs in "as new" condition. I really like my Heresys...seems Heresys or Cornwalls would be the likely step...if I got the Forte IIs and they are all I keep hearing about...perhaps the Heresys become the "surrounds" and the Forte IIs move to the front main position... I am in need of rear surrounds and the sources (for now, anyway) have seemed to dry up...since what used surrounds are "almost" what I would pay for the Heresys delivered or the local Forte IIs (well, they are a "bit" more;-) I thought of my "upgradeitis" might be starting early. Bill
  2. In a HT system does it make any sense to mix these...use the Forte IIs (as the front mains, I assume) and the Heresys as rears or get Heresys all around...?...Center is a KLF-C7. Thanks, Bill (having a bit of trouble locating rear surrounds, can get some nice Heresys for 'bout $400 plus shipping or possibly some Forte IIs for 'bout $600, local pick up.

  4. Mike do you recall if it was Purpleish Red??? Thanks and thanks for the answer. Bill
  5. thanks...I had posted this in two places specifically about Heresys and found out Heresys do not have any... Thanks for responding! Bill
  6. thanks everyone...dodger, my one tweeter has no logo but the magnet has stamped in black ink, "klipsch" and it has a big red "R" covering the stamping underneath...I can still make out klipsch...it has a 4 digit serial number "engraved" into it wheras my other with the "original has the klipsch logo on it and has a 5 digit serial number "engraved" into it. Bill
  7. If anyone knows for sure, I would appreciate your response... thanks again, Bill
  8. Outlaw Audio 7100 (7 X 100-all channels driven), 770 (7 X 200-all channels driven) and 755 (5 X 200-all channels driven)... Bill
  9. Danny: Thanks...I can only find pics of MODDED Heresys... Bill
  10. inside Heresys??? I have seen them inside, Cornwalls but not inside my Heresys. If you can direct me to any interior pics of Heresy, I would appreciate it...I tried both Search Engines. Bill
  11. Took the backs off my 1978 Heresys...should there be any kind of packing material in there??? I have seen pictures of the interior of Cornwalls and there was a packing material in there...nothing in my Heresys. Thanks, Bill
  12. One of the tweeters in my "new" 1978 Heresys looks different than the other. The "original" one has the Klipsch logo printed on it with K-77 and serial numbered...the other is also serial numbered but has brighter metal, and an ink stamped Klipsch with a big red ink stamped "R" on it...replacement, reject...run??? Thanks for any help. Bill Other than that...it looks like a brand new speaker, inside and out.
  13. Excellent! Glad you are enjoying them. Bill
  14. ...wish they were BIN at that price...sure to rise! Bill
  15. ...oh and I forgot to mention...horns sound WOW...(I even listened to bagpipe music through them...sounds like they were playing in front of me!) Bill
  16. ...so you approve??? I have been listening all morning and WOW...I am hearing some things for the first time...I can hear the plastic pick on the guitar strings...I guess what I have been listening too is much more compressed...there is a feeling of spaciousness I had not heard before...some vocals still seem a bit "echo-ey" (for lack of a better term) but I am still getting used to the 2 set up and this is with CDs through my DVD player, hooked to the TV...being driven by the Nakamichi (No Outlaw stuff yet)... Bill
  17. edwinr: dodger said I might hear from you. I have only been listening to 2 channel today since I got them...driven by the Nakamichi TA-2A they sound a bit bright but piano, guitar, bass and horns all sound nice...I have to report there were some "little things" I had never heard on my CDs before...right now some vocals seemed a little "echo-ey" but I certainly do not have the proper set up for them to shine yet...I did watch "The Matrix" (oh, you know I had to) 2 channel style and the empty brass hitting the ground was sharp! Most of the music I have been listening to lately has been via automobile radio so the Klipsch certainly are a different sound...much more "spacial" instead of "compressed"???...I can sum it up this way for 2 channel...I closed my eyes and felt like they were playing in front of me. Enjoying them! Bill
  18. apac020: Sorry for this being my Forum... but when I ask multiple questions in threads, a couple get answered and the rest die on the vine...course if you post more and others follow then this place will REALLY be rockin'! Thanks for putting up with me. Bill
  19. I picked up today on e-bay (Monday 01-03-05) a set of '78 Heresys in almost perfect condition...nice price and I lucked out with a local sale that I could pick up. Bill
  20. Interestingly the literature from Klipsch on their Synergy line is remove the grills for an "aggressive statement" or leave them on for an "elegant and refined" look! Bill
  21. Meuge: I like your choices... Bill
