  1. I'm currently running a full 7.2 Klipsch Ultra 2 system in my dedicated theater. Right now, I'm using the new Yamaha RX-Z11 as my processor and amplification. While the overall sound is great, I'm beginning to think the Yamaha Z11 may be a tad bright with the Ultra 2's. What separate power amps would be recommended for the Ultra 2 system? I'm looking for a bit more "warmth" in the sound - yet still dynamic. Some amps I'm considering include: Wyred 4 Sound; Parasound; Sunfire; B&K; Cinepro; Earthquake Any suggestions based on experience with the Ultra 2 system?
  2. Just curious - nothing more, nothing less. So, one center and one surround. Cool. Makes options easy. Now, when will they ALL be available?
  3. How many center channel speakers will be in the Palladium line? Will there be one to match each size tower? And, what is a realistic date these speakers will be available "on the street"? Finally, where will the Palladium line be produced/manufactured?
  4. By outperform, I mean simply, will they sound better? I know that's very subjective, but give it a shot! Will the bass of the new sub slam like the Ultra II subs? Will the overall system be as dynamic? Will they sound "better" with music? Any feedback is appreciated!
  5. OK Amy, I'll take you up on your question offer! What will be the retails on the "smaller" towers, side surrounds, and sub? And, do you anticipate this line to "outperform" the Ultra II system?
  6. When does the new Palladium line hit retail - or the web site? I'm interested in seeing the retails on the rest of the line - and hearing them! Thanks for any feedback.
  7. Soundbroker: What type of amp (horsepower) do you recommend to drive the THX Ultra II's to their ultimate capabilities?
  8. I am extremely happy with the sound. I run the system with a Denon 5805 receiver, and with the Audessey eq engaged, the Ultra II system fills the room with unbelievable dynamics and slam (from the subs). The set also sounds very, very good with music. I listen to a lot of hi rez music and the results are spectacular. The subs are also very tight for music, but still produce the thunder for movies.
  9. And, here are the side and rear surround THX Ultra II KS-525's....
  10. The front channels - and subs - of my Klipsch THX Ultra II system on custom made Sound Anchor stands.....
  11. FYI. I just posted the subject package on Audiogon. Take a look if interested. All in absolutely new condition.
  12. Please clarify on what you mean by "if you want a speaker to be a center piece for your system"? Do you mean asthetically, sonically, or both? When - and where - will we see the photos?!?!?!
  13. Good to know. Thanks for the update. BTW, with the new Reference line coming out, will the Klipsch Ultra 2 system still be considered the "best" Klipsch has to offer for home theater?
  14. On the latest (print) update for the new Reference line being announced at CES, it also talked about the current KS-525 THX Ultra 2 surrounds getting an update to add "more power handling and some sound enhancements" (or something like that). Does anyone know when these will be available? Same price? Will they be designated (i.e. differently) in any way from the current model - i.e. KS-525 to KS-525 Mark II? Thanks for any feedback.
  15. I'm thinking of going with seven KL-650-THX speakers all around in my home theater. How would this work? My layout is good for the proper locations of the speakers - i.e. three across the front, two at the sides, and two in the rear - so that isn't an issue. Would it be better to use the KS-525's at the sides? My goal is to have the best scenario for HT and High Rez music, that being identical speakers all around. I already have the pair of Klipsch Ultra 2 subs with amp. Let me know your thoughts on this. FYI - the front three speakers would be stand mounted, while the four surrounds would be wall mounted.
