  1. Babadono You were not the first to PM me. I posted at 1:56 I got a PM at 2:12 from the person I am giving it to verifying he wanted it with contact information. You did not post until 2:20 and just PM'd me at 2:21 with a question. You then PM'd me at 3:29 saying "i'm interested". I politely PM'd you and said that someone else beat you to the punch and I would let you know if the transaction didn't take place. So I thought I was doing a nice thing for the forum members but I get called out for BS on the open thread for stuff that I already explained to you in a PM. GROW UP!!!!!!!!!!
  2. Thanks Marvel, I already checked that thread and all of the JWC links come up with error. What I really need is the exact size of the port platform. I remember from ancient times on here that there was a lot of discussion about those. I had some talk with Dr. Who about it once. Is he even still on the board? A lot of those old threads are missing since they made the conversion to the new forum platform. I know JWC had a very good drawing of the dimensions. Thanks tigerwoodshorns but I'm sticking with the k500 since I have them and the point of this was to use up what I have setting around.
  3. I have 3 Bells that I put in the Volti upgrades and Crites woofers in. So I have 3 K33's , k500 horns, 2 k55 m and1 k55 v and 3 k77's gaining dust in my storage. I thought I might build some boxes get some new crossovers and fire them up. They could just as well collect dust that way. There use to be some plans on here but I think they were all prior to the conversion to the new form site. I just need the base bin for the K33's without anything else in the cabinet. I have very modest wood working skills and thought I might just come up with something for my kid that is not too expensive. Any help or links would be much appreciated.
  4. Gone already. Hope they get good use out of it! I always liked it but I did keep the TGA 400 x 7 amp and still using it.
  5. I should have said you calculate the shipping cost and get me a check for the amount. I know it will be a rough estimate we can work out the difference later. The ups sight has the calculator. Once that is done just PM me and I will give you my address.
  6. I have a Sunfire TGP5 I have owned for about 12-15 years. I came home in December and the center channel DOES NOT WORK. I don't know what is wrong with it, I never checked what could be wrong with it, and I am not going to find out what is wrong with it. I bought a new Marantz 7706 and I'm extremely happy. The TGP5 has a good phono stage and HDMI video only switching. All audio has to go through optical or analog connections. All the other channels seem to work, only the center is no sound except for some scratching. I was going to take it to the electronic recycling center but I thought I would put it out here to see if any of you with electronic skills would want it or just use it as a stereo pre amp. You can find the manual on line to answer all questions about it. I have it in it's original box and I will ship it by ups your expense. I don't know what it would cost but it is about 30 lbs and 22 x 22 x 10 inches shipping from zip 61201. I live in Rock Island Ill and pick up would be fine also. I'll try to attach pics.
  7. Presently I have 3 modified bells for fronts, two forte II's with upgraded xovers for sides and 2 quartets for backs. The quartets and forte II's are slightly elevated already. I have a Sunfire TGP 5 (7channel) for my preamp that took a dump on me. Center channel is out ( scratchy and no volume) I replaced it with a Marantz AV 7706 which has the extra 4 channels for height speakers. I'd have to buy the height speakers and amps to drive them since I currently just have a sunfire TG 400x7 amp. I was just wondering if the height speakers would really make that much difference. I do no gaming at all and moderate movie watching. If anyone wants the TGP5 to repair or what ever it is in very loose hands. Don't even know what it would be worth.
  8. How would they work with belle k500's and k77 and a cornscala base bin. ?
  9. When you say northern Colorado where exactly? East, west or by Steamboat?
  10. Hey I got a rack just like that. GLWS
  11. The 3400 looks interesting especially since it has DTS:x. The 4100 doesn't have it just a little more power. Thanks for your input
  12. I have an older system, Denon avr 3805 with no HDMI inputs. It is pushing RB 35's front center and surrounds 5.1. I would like to up grade and was wondering what you folks were happy with. Kind of like to keep it in the mid range of pricing between 500 to 1000's. I'm happy with the Denon sound but would like some HDMI connectivity, possibly some blue tooth and wifi. This isn't my best system just what I use in the family room to watch TV and a few of the netflix series.
  13. Where you located? Or better yet where are the subs located?
  14. I'm giving my son some RB5's , RS3s and a RSW 10 and an old receiver for a computer set up. He asked me a few months ago if I didn't have a couple of old speakers he could hook up to his computer. The speakers were purchases from History Kid and Rivernuggets. He is in Colorado working in Keystone being a ski bum.
  15. I ripped all my cd's to apple lossless on Itunes. I know that is pretty lame but the transfer to my Ipod classic 160 gb and sound pretty good in my car and on my boat. I also use music bee which is free on another pc. I got a file convert program and convert them to flac for the music bee.

    Belles SOLD

I have the belle's with the Volti upgrades and they sound fantastic. I believe Mike contacted me when he was going to up grade his. Mine aren't quite as pretty as the rosewood on those, I just went with the light oak look. They are definitely great sounding speakers you will NOT be disappointed.
  17. Well I pulled the trigger. 3 seats section 106 row 10. I probably could have bought an old pair of khorns for the price. It may be one of his last in the US and hopeful that there might be some special guest show up. Well it will be fun to see him and in that venue.
  18. Thanks alot. Maybe I'll check some of them out. We are always up for trying out new restaurants, maybe I'll post again when the time gets nearer. Thanks again
  19. Thanks Stephen I'm thinking about pulling the trigger today. The only time that I've seen Clapton was back in 78 when I was in school. He had Muddy Waters open for him. At the time I didn't appreciate his talent. Thanks for the heads up on were you bought your tickets. My wife and I are going there to visit often and she always wants to see Broadway shows. I usually scan the internet to see if there are any live music show going on while we are there. My Daughter lives in Brooklyn now (the edge of bedford stuy) and I'd like to check out some clubs in Brooklyn and Manhattan. If you have any suggestions I'd love to hear them.
  20. That looks like a very fair price for the Khorns. If I only had some corners I'd be tempted. I run modified Belles with a sub so I don't think I could really justify them. You must be located around the Iowa City area going by you distances to different towns. Good luck on you sale.
  21. Thanks Jim, I was looking at the 100 sections, just didn't know if the straight back from the stage 102 would be to far away. There are some on the sides about half way up. As Jimjimbo said this may be his last. He only has 2 dates in NY and then 2 in LA. Then he goes back to London and do 3 shows at Royal Albert Hall. The bill says that Jimmy Vaugh and Gary Clark Jr. I would bet that he might have some other special guest Join him.
  22. I'm toying with the idea of seeing Clapton at Madison Square Garden. My daughter is in grad school at NYU and would plan a trip to visit her around the concert dates. Any one attended concerts there, I was wondering about where the best/value for seating is. The Monday date still has lots of options as long as you are willing to shell out the $$$'s. Also did you buy tickets through the garden's site or through the secondary sellers.?
