Those cones look gorgeous! I have to wonder though, how will the classic 7 lineup match with the new 7 II lineup? And lastly, will we be able to rotate the horn on the RC 64 II?

It's a toss up. I'm not sold by the new laid back approach in the upper registry of the current line up, where as the previous one was in your face rock and roll non stop! Unfortunatley that in your face sound came at a cost with shrills in the upper registry which can be adjusted with a few tweaks with the RF 7's (DeanG mod). Cheapest option is to get more consumable media to enjoy on your current sound system instead of replacing everything. Though fun it is costly.

OMG! Color me stoked!I might have to buy a pair just because I can! (go broke that is) PS. Amy, I saw the main site today and love how the three mini advertisements are uniformly labeled at the top. It brings a solid viewing experience while drawing my eyes to the main content of the site; the rotating center "banner" if you will. Kudos!

I'm excited to see what you have in store for us all. The general direction of the site is positive and for nostalgia, you could throw this one back up!

Amy, first and foremost great job! I can feel where you all are going with this, and it looks great considering where the site has come from! (rotating globe anyone?) I do have some critiques, and please take these in stride. I don't think the overall site can agree what it exactly is presenting let alone representing. The first thing that stands out to me is the Klipsch Logo; love the stark contrast of black and white. However it’s just a square block sitting alone in the corner surrounded by a huge sheet of white. It clashes too much though I do prefer the background color over the old sites. The white background opens the site up making it fresh and inviting to users. The solitary black logo box though is awkward and breaks up the flow of the header as a consistent element of the site. (That and the outer edges of the ellipse have been shaved off) It appears to disjointed as a unified design element, which just happens to be my next point. The new layout is fresh and simple; winner! Reminds me much of the Dell.com layout which I happen to enjoy; simplistic yet informative. Header issues aside, the body of the page suffers a bit of an identity crisis as well. There is no uniform concept in marketing and color; it’s so random! For instance the large middle container or “body container 12” has different competing visual elements; i.e. too many independent branding schemes. First there is the black white image from and old advertisement with a rotating flash advertisement containing either white space or random “Vista green-blue hues” (which I personally despise). In addition are the “home categories” which continue the aforementioned trend of singular independence. If there were simple headers above each of the images instead of the images with randomly placed text announcing where they lead to, more consistency would exist. As of now my eyes jump all over the place reading the site. Needless to say the main page is announcing too many things all at the same time. I love the reconfigured product pages; an example where uniform design works. What I don’t like in navigating to the pages is the long list of underlined links on the left; they are more noticeable than before now that everything is on a white background. Don’t get me wrong, I love what you and the team have done with the site. It feels much more inviting and open than before. I particularly love the new individual section page header images; gives the site more personality which the design previous lacked. The site showcases great design consistencies and really bad ones too. The site is coming closer to what some consider a web 2.0 layout. Bravo on the social networking links in the footer! You ought to highlight those instead of making them an afterthought addition. -Joe

B&K 507's can be had for cheap these days (around 1K) ; great amp and processor! That is if you don't mind lack of HDMI connections.

Absolutley, the 507 is merely the Ref 50 and Ref 200.7 amp in one chassis; its an exceptional deal at todays prices. Processors change, however good amps last forever (close enough atleast).

Not familiar with 507, however owning the Ref 50, and other B&K amps, I can state they rock! You can get great deals right now on the used market; its sad how fast these things have dropped in value with the economy and with 'new' tech demands of the yuppie generation. If it doesn't say iPod or HDMI, it isn't good.

Ear, Forum member "JewishAMerPrince" used to run Halo gear with RF-7's and had several posts circa 2004-05 in the 2 channel section. I also followed his opinions on the setup on another forum. In short he hated it, and likened the Halo sound with the 7's to a higher quality Denon amp; overtly warm and a waste of money. On the other hand foum member "nichotl"used to run a full 7 setup with Halo gear and loved it. To each their own.

Oo I am interested, though travel from the South Pacific may be a bit tough.

I'm looking at Asus' Xonar cards but I'm still on the fence on which card to purchase myself. For audio I'm running Adobe Audition which suits me fine though it comes at a very steep price.

I have a problem with that claim, especially by that community. To my understanding HD content is currently recorded and thus restricted to 8 bit color making anything higher than that redundant. If the source doesn't have it the source isn't going to give it.

RF 35's hands down. The F 3's have an aluminum tweeter where as the 35's have a titanium tweeter, which to my ears boils down to the 35's sounding smoother and sweeter. F3's presented a more hollow sound to me, though they are not bad for what you pay for - it still is Klipsch and best in class. Couple either set with a stout amp and you will be in business for a long time to come.

Aren't the horns the same? The RF 5 should share the same horn as the RC 7and RF7 if I am not mistaken.

RF-7's and Adcom [N] B&K on the other hand, well thats a totally different experience []

O the beauty of Klipsch, it makes you become involved in the music/movie. Thats atleast why I chose the brand and I'm sticking to it. []

Not so much, I am just overly impressed with how the RC-7 sounds over the Rb-75. It is a matter of personal taste, and having owned both going with either the RB75 or RC7will provide phenomenal results.

You do that as I need to amass as many of them as I can. I have learned you can never have to many RC-7's.

Jay I would have entertained the thought of the 75's as PC speakers, but they were to much for my tastes in a close listening field. If they work great, but I think I need something a little less forward and "big"; and here I go using RC-7's. Whats wrong with me.

To be honest, I have entertained the idea of RF 15's for PC use. How well did that work out for you? (yes I know its Klipsch [])

ould it be adequate in powering them? Of course this will be near field listening so the volume wouldn't be cranked at all. My main concern would be damaging the speakers by underpowering them. Does anyone else have any further insight or experience in this field?

Thread title literally says it all. I've decideded that due to my limited budget to forget purchasing a set of ifi's and continue to build my modest HT. I have been scouring the net searching for RC-7's and my treasure hunt has payed off so that I will have another if not 2 RC-7's en route for a totall of 3 to play with. But I still need (want) some good pc speakers, and due to space I can't throw just anything in there, but twin RC-7's might work. Any thoughts on this and how to power them?
