I've meet two really nice guys from my area that I met here that are members. One let me listen to his RF-7's and Klipschorns, so I know what the sounds is like from the two, he's a really sweet guy, and another member here helped me move my RF-7's when I moved, also a very sweet guy, they can validate I'm who I am. Thanks guys, I haven't been on the Klipsch forum in a long time lately due to a hectic life this past year.

Hi Sunburnwilly, Thanks, I remember you. I would love to hear what it sounds like with all those Belles going at the same time you have. What a nice setup, you must have a large room for all those Belles.

RTTR, Sweetie, I'm not calling you names, what I meant by NAD is that you probably just prefer the NAD equipment. You might want to take Stereophile on, they say Rotel does have detail. jpm, Sorry sweetie that it didn't work out for you. I'm just happy to report I haven't had any of the problems you had with your RF-7's, thank goodness! I disagree, the RF-7's have plenty midrange here on my setup. I'm completely happy with them. Maybe it would have been cheaper for you to try DeanG's crossover change first to see if that would have helped. The Highs are very smooth and pleasant on my RF-7's and no I am not running the DeanG xovers. Happy to hear you have found something that works better for you sweetie. I'm not trying to imply you ran junk on your RF-7's but once I took the Sony Amp off my setup, it changed things around 100%. Shame you had a bad experience with the RF-7's because it sounds to me like you want to bash the product now since it didn't work out for you. Such is life, huh!

RTTR, I disagree with you! Rotel do not lack detail by far, maybe your pre-amp was the culprit. Many reviews rave about Rotel's sound quality and detail. I think maybe you are just a NAD. jpm, as said many times in this forum, the Klipsch RF-7 are just ok with some equipment, but to get the very best out of the RF-7's, you are going to have to put something really good with them and they will really give you the very best. I know because I started out with an amp that didn't do it justice, now I'm very happy with mine with the Rotel RB-1090 and Rotel separates I have. I've heard the Klipshorn and RF-7's side-by-side on very good equipment and the RF-7's impressed the heck out of me, and still does. Too bad you didn't give the best to the RF-7's to get the best back, they really are worth it, atleast for me. I didn't discover this until I got rid of my Sony amp that I thought was good and that Sony amp cost me $1500.00 and it just gave the RF-7's crap in and crap out. The Rotel RB-1090 really changed it into a shocking and breaktaking sound system that shock any body that hears it when at my house. I really feel for you jpm that you didn't get it where it could have been, Sorry sweetie!

I can't speak for the new Rotel digital amps because I haven't heard them yet but to my understanding of the new line, they aren't really digital, they are Class D amplifiers that are not digital, they are PWM. Rotel calls them their Class D amplifiers, but Class D does not stand for (the D) Digital.

I use to own Martin Logan's, Summits a ways back. I've been running for some time the Rotel RB-1090 amp, Rotel RC-1090 pre, and Rotel RCD-1072 CD-Player with the Klipsch RF-7 speakers and all I have to say is if Jay doesn't think this setup couldn't stun him in disbelief, don't know what would! This is the best setup I've ever had and I will also follow up to say that Rotel does indeed go very well with Klipsch and a known fact it's a great synergy if you just read the Rotel and Klipsch forums. I did my review about it a long time ago, and I'm still happy with mine! Kathy

I'm using a Rotel RB-1090 amp and Rotel RC-1090 pre with my RF-7's for two channel only. My sisters husband is running a Rotel RB-1080 amp and Rotel RC-1070 pre with his RF-7's (two-channel only). Rotel and Klipsch go very well together. The sound is very sweet, smooth, and detailed. We are in bliss with this combo and it's very impressive sound quality. We are very pleased with it and we are running only the RF-7's in two channel, no sub, lots of good clean bass, no DeanG mods and it's very smooth and sounds great with smooth highs, not harsh or bright at all on our ears. Just absolutely LOVE the sound! My sister's husband started with the RF-3's and then moved up to the RF-7's and we by far over-all prefer the RF-7's. It's no secret that you have to give the RF-7's what they want to sound absolutely stunning! If you do, they are well worth it. The Rotel equipment does it for us. The RF-7's are very special speakers but you won't hear it until you give it very good equipment to do it. Yamaha and Denon are often strongly suggested not to use with Klipsch because of the bright nature of those amps. I still have a Sony amp and when I tried it on with my RF-7's, it just about ruined my ears with it's shrill, harsh, and overly bright sound that was piercing to the ears and the RF-7's sound horrible with it, but on the Rotel RB-1090 it's a big difference that is stunning and leaves us shocked at it's great sound that we even like better than the Klipschorn's! OH MY! Now I've said it! The bass is tight, clean, taut, with great slam on my Rotel RC-1090/RB-1090. There is no muddyness at all. The speakers just disappear and let the music seem like you are there, living and breathing it, taking it all in as real, as if the singer is there in your living room. Family and friends jaw drops every time they here these RF-7's and say it's sound so real that it stuns them and the quality of detail, they all want the same setup. One friends husband just finished setting up the exact same every thing that I have now and they LOVE it. I can't say enough good about this combo, can you tell! I was worried when I moved if the RF-7's would still sound great, they do, but the bigger room they used to be in, they really could breathe and sounded huge in that room. I wish I had a room that large to put them in again, but I am happy they sound great here too. Good Luck and enjoy! []

I've read great reports about Rega products, would love to hear them for myself, but unfortunately I haven't found anyone carrying them locally for a demo. I'll bet that warm sound does sound great with the RF-7's!
