  1. Are the round alnico K-77's more desirable than the square magnet? And if so, why?
  2. What the heck is a 'warning point'? Something not good, I would suspect
  3. Hello all. I believe it's been about 10 years since I've been to the forums. Yes, I am the guy who sold his Bubinga La Scala's. A move I deeply regret to this day. But, I am back into the Klipsch scene, and I found these Heresies on Craigslist and could not pass them up. Can anyone tell me what the value of these may be? They do not have the stickers on the back, unfortunately, but the serial numbers are embedded into the cabinets, and they are 97U922 & 97U923, which, if my research is correct, are 1980 models. I think they look very sexy with the plain birch cabs and cane grills. They appear to have all of the most desirable drivers as well. They have risers, but they do not slant. Is this original to the speaker? I have never seen this before. Let me know what you all think.. Thanks !
  4. I found the pair for $16.95. Thanks, don't know why I didn't think of looking on ebay first
  5. Greetings folks. Does anybody have enough grill cloth for a pair of Hereies that would be willing to ship to me? I remeber buying some from the distributor a few years back, and it took over a month to get it. If anyone can help me out, I would surely appreciate it. Thanks, Todd
  6. Hey there is a set like this locally. Two RF-25's, 2 RS-25's and one center RC-25 The price is $500 for all. Is this a good price?
  7. I found this ad locally: http://phoenix.craigslist.org/ele/565721439.html Anybody know anything about this? Other than the fact that it is a HUGE sub? I wrote the owner and he said original price in 1998 was $4799 I asked for the model number and he wasn't sure but said either SW20 or SW120 I think it is overkill for my size room but sounded like it might be a good deal. The closest match I get on the Klipsch site is the KSW-200 Thanks, Todd
  8. It's OK the grills are in excellent condition. I have no intent to replace them in fact I am selling these speakers. I auditioned them side by side with my La Scala's and I prefer the La Scala's
  9. Yep, you are 100% corect Tom. I've never seen this before but it is the case with these corns
  10. Thank you gentlemen!! Tweeters will be sent to Bob for repair. I had no idea Cornwalls were this big. Wow !! They have the little pie logos. I think I will reveneer them in the original walnut. They are in great shape, just a few dings in the veneer here and there. Even with the blown tweets, I couldn't pass the up for $500. Also, these grills do not come off. At least not from the front. I haven't dug into them yet but are they attached from inside the cabinet? Merry Christmas to all the Klipschters out there !!!
  11. Wow, I've been away longer than I thought ! Just picked me up some Cornwalls. 1974's I presume since they have 'M' in the serial number. I need to get in touch with Bob Crites. I can't remember his username. Can someone point me in the right direction? Thanks ! Good to be back
  12. I see what you are saying, and I agree, it's a good thing. What I was getting at in my previous post is that it looks like $200 is the magic number, where once the bidding hits $200, then it goes to the new system
  13. I wonder how you use that option in your listings. It is different than a private listing. I just went through a mock listing to see if there was a place to add this type of bidding history and I didn't see it. Maybe it just automatically does this when an item hits a certain amount. Edit: Now after a little research on laptops, I see that any item under $200 shows the bidders, once over $200, then it goes to Bidder #1, etc. I guess this happens automatically now by ebay?
  14. I tell ya, I sell on ebay all the time. I get no less than 5 emails from bidders, asking me to visit their website for cheap prices on electronics. Here's an excerpt from a recent email today: Dear friend This is sharon ,nice to meet you pleased to contact with you.We are a big wholesaler company that can offer the latest and most famous digital and electronic to you, such as digital camera, video,Mobile, laptop,Notebook,TV,IPOD NANOS ,GPS,PSP PS3 , XBOX360 and so on.they are brand new, authentic, each one come with original box. Our products have sale all over the world. We can offer high quality product, the lowest price and goods for more detail ,please feel for free to contact us the msn is syedy3574@yahoo.com.cn the email is syedy3574@yahoo.com.cn Recently I looked researched some of their feedback, because sometimes they will have one or two. All the items they have won are just a line of question marks, like the title of the auction is: ???????????????????????????? and they are always Unverified and in China I found on seller who had not been shut down yet, and had over 300 such listings going, just so the other users (probably the same person) could buy and get feedback. The point is, if a user has 300+ auctions running with the title of question marks, then they (ebay) are not trying very hard to shut these people down. I always forward the email to spoof @ ebay dot com but it takes days before they get shut down
  15. LOL, sorry Tony, I don't log in here too often. SOLD to TONY !!!!!!!!!!!!
  16. Anybody have a need for these? They've been laying around here about 2 years now. Not looking for much, make me an offer. One of them has a small bit of metal broken off around one of the screw holes. It should still hold the screw fine. Pics upon request. Thanks, Todd
  17. Well, if I am going to keep the LS's, I may as well keep the Heresy's. My plan was to build some bubinga cornwalls to make them a set. A set for what? Hell just for the fun of it I guess. Ask colterphoto why we do it. There's no good explanation I don't think, except just the love of the speakers. What are heresy's going for these days? I have some MINT walnut from about '78 I think (S in the serial number)
  18. Where do you live? Oops, excuse the double By the way I have matching Heresy's with the same veneer.
  19. I don't doubt that a bit. You're right, I need to get creative and find a different way out. Thanks
  20. Been a while since I've been around. What do you guys think I could get for the Bubinga La Scala's? Times are tough. Cueman
