  1. Yes, it is insistent on low output.
  2. I was considering the Denon DL-160, but I am now leaning towards the Denon DL-103R. My phono stage is for moving coil cartridges and was custom-built that way for my line stage.
  3. Thanks for the input, guys. I tried most of the Shures, but really need to try a moving coil for better compatibility with my phono stage.
  4. I have a Thorens TD-160 with the original arm and am considering a new cartridge. Currently I am using a Stanton 680EE. However, I would like to try a Denon DL-103R. Is this low-output moving coil a good match for this arm?
  5. ...never mind...an AR-XA that only plays 33's.
  6. Does anyone know anything about this table? Someone near me is selling one.
  7. Has anyone ever heard a pair of these, or does anyone own a pair? What is your opinion? Any comparisons to Altec Lansing or Klipsch is welcome as well. http://www.iconicspkrs.com/stonehenge.html
  8. Does anybody have one of these? How do you like it? What are your opinions of it?
  9. Wow. This is really good! Thanks for passing it on!
  10. You are right, Greg. They are two-way and are also ported. They also have high and low frequency adjusters on them, and the sound is "live" on all types of music.
  11. Has anyone had a chance to compare these two?
  12. These are both cartridges. The VXMR replaced the VMR.
  13. Has anyone had a chance to compare the two? What have you noticed are the differences? I plan on running either one with my Dual 1219.
  14. About two weeks ago, I picked up a pair of Altec Lansing Model 14's for only $150! I just refinished them and have been listening to them for about a week. I have to say that these are some of the best speakers I have heard in a long time. They are very revealing and open in their sound as well as quite detailed. They also have great channel separation. I can't forget to mention that my wife loves their sound, and the Walnut veneer matches our entertainment center! These are definitely keepers.
  15. I just picked-up a Rek-o-Kut Rondine Deluxe pretty cheaply. Is this turntable worth restoring? It comes with a model 120 tonearm but no headshell, and It powers up and spins, also. Thanks.
  16. The condition is very similar to this one I just "googled".
  17. I just recently purchased an Ampex 1260 reel to reel with all Mullard tubes. Is this worth repairing? It powers on, but the record and stop buttons are stuck.
  18. Yes, for 5.1-channel surround minus the subwoofer cable.
  19. I'm not really sure of the price, but I have several that I have never used in the past for video. (They were included in some DVD players that I purchased in the past.) So, I thought I would try some for the fun it. Hence, I was very impressed by the results. Gauge will help, but I believe that they sound so clear because they are shielded. Try some, and I think you might be surprised.
  20. Has anyone ever tried yellow video interconnects for surround sound? They sound very good as "poor-man's" interconnects, probably because they are shielded.
  21. Is that from the NH Craigslist from a little over a week ago, Pete? That looks really sweet.
