  1. That's what i'm thinking too! Add 2 or 3 more RF-7's to the mix. I'm gonna have to call my guy to see what he can do. Jeremy
  2. The RF-83 looks like an RF-5 and an RVX-54 had a baby.
  3. Based purely on looks, i'm glad I bought RF-7's and that I didn't wait for these. Jeremy
  4. Synergy series is a Best Buy exclusive line. You may find some used elsewhere. Jeremy
  5. I feel the Buttkicker is an overpriced solution for a low frequency transducer. If you have an extra amp channel already, you could buy as many Aura Bass Shakers as you want for under $40 a piece. Then just series/parallel wire them to get an acceptable load for you amp, an you are in business for cheap. I'm running 6 Aura Bass Shakers under my sectional couch, off an extra 200 watt channel on one of my B&K amps, with good results. I have a gain control on the amp, and run it through a speaker switch box so it can be turned off when i'm not watching movies. I don't care for the "shakers" with music. Good luck, Jeremy
  6. 12 feet of RG-6 quad sheild coax and a couple "F" to RCA adapters and you have a great sub cable for about 5 bucks. Good luck to you. Jeremy
  7. I had a 68 Dart GTS 383 4-speed like that one. Mine was silver with red interior. I sold it about 2 1/2 years ago when we built a new house. Now I've got a killer dinette set [] I've always liked big block Darts. In fact I sold 5 cars in order to build this house. The only toy I kept is my 70 Cuda. I've seen 2 ZL1 Cameros in person. That is the holy grail of the Camero world. Jeremy
  8. There is a black one on Audiogon right now. I think the price is a little high though. He is asking $550. I paid $499 for a new one 6 months ago. His price on RF-7's seems decent to me. Prices on new RC-7's may be coming down soon with the line being replaced. Jeremy
  9. My sentiments. Get a new 350ZX......Zowanggg!!!! And watch it depreciate in value, while this GTX only appreciates. Jeremy
  10. 1st thing I looked at was the VIN and saw RS23. Roadrunner is RM23, but then I scrolled down and saw that it was indeed a GTX. I think they just threw Roadrunner in the title to get search hits. Nice car indeed. Price is not out of line. Any Mopar Hemi car is a fantastic investment. That's where alot of investors have been putting their money over the last several years. Mopars are appreciating alot faster than most stocks are. My dad has a 69 Hemi Roadrunner. That car is a blast. I'm more of an E-body guy myself. (have owned 4 of them.) My current ride is a 70 Cuda 340. Wish I could afford a Cuda Hemi car. I would give all my Klipsch for that GTX too! Jeremy
  11. Here is my take. The digital signal is just a tiny electrical signal traveling through the metal traces on the circut boards in side your source. Digital coax is a metal cable, where as optical is plastic, or glass. In order to use optical the tiny electrical signal has to be converted to light in a tiny little converter about the size of a sugar cube. Then after it travels through the optical cable it has to get converted back to an electrical signal again. So my opinion is why go from English to French back to English again, when you can go English, English, English with digital coax. Also the durability issues need to be considered as mentioned before. I don't think there is any noticeable difference in quality of signal transfer, it just comes down to cost, durability, and Rf issues. Oh yeah, I think those Toslink connectors suck compared to RCA. Did I make any sense? These are purely my opinions, so feel free to disagree. Jeremy
  12. I'm getting that funny feeling in the pit of my stomach. Michael knows the one feeling i'm talking about. What condition are these in? I've got a real hard-on for Mahogany KLF-30's Pics would be great. Jeremy
  13. How much more expensive is the SA-XR70? The reason I ask is that it sounds like the SA-XR50 would work great, but then you can only use 1 HDMI source. I'm in the same boat. TV has 1 input and SAT receiver and DVD player both have HDMI. I thought about getting an HDMI Switch box for $250 from RAM electronics. But for now I'm using HDMI from my SAT box because I watch it more than the DVD. My Denon 2910 has awesome analog conversion and the Component connection is still phenominal. You could do the same and may not notice the difference between HDMI and component. It depends on the quality of your DVD player. Also if the DVD upscales, that's another reason you don't need the more expensive receiver. Hope I helped, good luck to you. Jeremy
  14. How about 2 Dayton Titanic MKIII ($1375) vs. 1 RSW-15 ($1800)?
  15. I like B&K with RF-7's. The only other separates I have heard with RF-7's is Krell. I thought that sounded good as well, but not as mellow and smooth as my B&K. YMMV, Jeremy
  16. I call mine "The Money Pit". Catchy, has a nice ring to it. Probably applies to alot of people here. Jeremy
  17. Looks great. There are so many little things that only you will notice. I'm very particular about details in my project, and there are always little things that bother me, but no one else seems to notice them. It looks like your making very rapid progress. Keep up the great work. Jeremy
  18. I paid $1400 for a pair for black RF-7's. I wanted cherry, but could only get that price on the black "in stock" models. It would have been $1600 for cherry. My RC-7 was $500 for a total of $1900. This was when my dealer was having a big sale and I also bought alot of other stuff at the time, but I think a better deal can be had than $1800. Good Luck and welcome aboard. Jeremy
  19. I thought I would post a new pic of the progress i've made in the last couple weekends. Maybe 1 more weekends worth of work and i'll be ready for stain. I had to put the tv in place to measure for the shelf above it. I figured while it was there we should watch it. I hooked up a cheap dvd player and we watched "The Incredibles" with just the tv speakers. It was pretty cool. I definately need a good dvd player though. Jeremy
  20. I've had a real bad itch lately for some Mahoganoy KLF-30's. I might take a road trip for that, even though it's not Heritage. Jeremy
  21. Here is a pic of my CAD drawing. I hope this works.
  22. Here is a link to the plastic cd holders that I have. http://www.rockler.com/CategoryView.cfm?Cat_ID=198 There is going to be a shelf and cabinet to the left of my CD rack. I have foreseen the need to leave room for the CD rack to swing out. The shelf/cabinet size will be determined my the amount of room I need to swing the door. I'm hoping it's minimal enough that a piece of trim, attached to the front left edge of the Cd rack, will cover the gap when closed. Indy, the shelf for the center has about 10" of open space behind it, and it's open to the back. I may need to mod that or other things in the future. I have been planning and drawing this wall unit, on my CAD at work, for months now. I figured I had thought of everything, but have already had to make changes as I go. I'll keep posting updates, and i'll see if I cad post a screen cap of my CAD drawing. Jeremy
