  1. You could try some wiremold or this threshold looking thingey that will cover the wire and keep you from tripping over it. OR, just step over the damn thing Hell, I know I had wires running all over the place before I rearranged the room and I HAD a way to do it, so who the hell am I to judge! On a heritage note, I was in Frawley's today picking the old guy's brain and listening to speakers. He's got Heresys, RF 7s, RF 5s and RF 35s set up and can switch back and forth. We were listening to different music and A/B/C'ing speaks and DAYUMM, the Heresy's are so far superior sounding to even the 7s that its not even funny. And he's got 3 finishes in stock, out the door for $1000 a pair. This in comparison the $1500 for the 7s and $900 for the 5s. I'm running all legend right now (30s, 20s and C7), I wonder what 7 Heresys would sound like. If today is any indication, I'm thinking that I will have an all Heritage before its all over. What part of town did you grow up? I grew up on James and Johns Island.

Honeywell's got a cool wireless tstat out, we sell quite a few of them. Move that thing and regain control of youe HVAC system. You see, I know H & A/C like the top dawgs on this forum knows speaks, so I can help.

I think $200 plus shipping is a killer deal for the KV-4. So there you go....$200 for a nice KV-4!

I do not have the cardboard box that the speaker was shipped in. There is a small ding on the corner of the MDF speaker box itself. The speaker is in very good (not odd, I can't type) condition. Drivers are perfect. The rest of the speaker box and grill is perfect. The wittle wubber feet on the bottom of the speaker are perfect. It is a nice center channel speaker. It was driven by a little old lady from Pasadena only on Sundays. This speaker once recieved a good citizenship award for saving a cat from drowning in a mudpuddle. It was that day, in fact, raining cats and dogs. This is a brave, brave little speaker. I will miss it dearly. Billy

I am going to try this thing out and will report back.
  9. I haven't ever compared the two side by side, but I can tell you that the Ref 200.7 has got what you need. It what I am running and I am extremely satisfied.

  11. Seriously though, I started out with a pair of KLF 30s a few years back. Over time, I picked up a KV 4 center and for a long time had hodge podge rears w/ a DPL pre-amp and amp by Carver. I upgraded the pre-pro to B & K Ref 200.7/Ref 50 and started looking to match up the speakers. First, I replaced the KV 4 w/ a KLF C7. Huge Difference. Then I bought 2 RS 7s for sides and 2 RB 35s for back surrounds. This was quite an improvement but I did not like the RS 7s for multi channel music. So, I scored a pair of KLF 20s for my sides and WHOA NELLY. Freakin awesome. I still have the RB 35s in the back but thats ok for now. I WILL find another pair of 20s (or 30s) before its all over. Don't get me wrong, the RS 7s were fantastic for movies and not bad for music but not even close to the 20s. But as for the center, you must find a KLF C7(better yet mod another 20) IMO. If you get the front matched up, you will be well on your way.

You need to step up to Reference or Heritage, they are far superior to Legend. So, Where do you live? I'll be a pal and take the 20s off yer hands.
  13. ...in the Living Room. I have "laying around" a pair of RS 7s and a pair of RB 35s. I was in a local audio shop today (authorized dealer although they cater to "higher end" stuff)and saw that they had a new RC 7 and a new RC 35. The 7 I can get for $400 cash and the 35 for $225. SO, what should I do? Will the RS and RC 7s overpower the RB 35s? I'm not sure I want to go any bigger that the RB 35s for the mains (but maybe 75s?) so should I just get the RC 35? In a nutshell: Will a system consisting of RB 35 mains, RC 7 center and RS 7 "match", or would a system consisting of RB 35, RC 35 and RS 7 be better. Oh yeah, and I also have a KSW 150 laying around I will be using for the sub. Man I have trouble being brief. Sorry

Well, I should say for me, were a great set of speakers cause I sold my KLF-30's after I upgraded to the RF-7's. I kept my RF-7's cause I like the sound better, big surprise is the smoother sound and fullness, makes the KLF-30's sound like something missing, mid-bass to mid-range maybe??? Is this the hollow sound some folks talk about over on the home theater forum?? The RF-7's have a fuller sound that I can'ts figure out why it ain't in the KLF's? Can some one asnwer this for me? ---------------- you have way, way better ears than me, bro
  16. I pre-drilled some pilot holes and carefully screded the HELL out the backs of mine. I NEVER plan to sell them. This may sound like a hack job, but it works great and I didn't have to remove anything.

A friend of mine told me about klipsch speakers in the paper, I asked what was the description, he said " I don't remember it was some letters and numbers", I didn't bother to look any further, I was interested in heritage, especially a heresy for the center. Well another friend of mine (who I introduced to klipsch and now has Lascalas and is looking to split a pair of heresies) called me and told me about the klf-20's in the paper, he asked if I new anything about them. Here is where it gets STUPID. I said "I think they are something like a synergy series or an entry level speaker, I was online at the time and said "hold on let me take a look at the klipsch site". Well after reading, I immediatly felt stupid, so I get on the forum and ask if it's a fair price, after reading I am now scrambling to get in touch with the seller, finally I get him and he tells me they are sold. We don't have them little bastards in Columbia. I guess I will be finding out soon, I'm doing a job at the foot of the old bridge, the Tides Condos, so I will be getting VERY acquainted with them I'm sure. As a matter of fact, the fire marshall has been giving us hell out there, you aren't in the Mt Pleasant FD are ya??? Maybe you can help us out Peace Out Billy
  22. (1) KV 4, drivers in excellent condition, cabinet in excellent condition EXCEPT for one ding on the back corner. Otherwise this speaker is perfect. Am looking for a KLF C7, or I will take best offer over $250. Billy
