  1. Enjoying whatever it is I did when I was 1. []
  2. Just watched it yesterday. Wasn't horrible, of course I love the LFE that the Blu-Ray had. []
  3. Radio Shack sells an SPL meter that many, many use for this exact thing. Does your receiver have any kind of test tone generator for each channel? If so, you can just use that along with the SPL meter.
  4. I was going by the "Like New Condition" in the title. Seems to be a pretty good deal to me. []
  5. Where could you find such low prices? Please PM me if that's sensitive info. Thanks, Frank. http://cgi.ebay.com/Onkyo-TX-SR805-7-1-channel-Receiver-EXCELLENT-CONDITION_W0QQitemZ120357075309QQcmdZViewItemQQptZReceivers_Tuners?hash=item120357075309&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1234|66%3A2|65%3A12|39%3A1|240%3A1318|301%3A1|293%3A1|294%3A50 Onkyo's store has frequently had refurbished 805s on the cheap too.
  6. http://minneapolis.craigslist.org/ele/975703293.html You will notice a huge difference, increased vocal clarity and much smoother sound transitioning from your front mains to the center and vice-versa.
  7. The specs and many have said that the previous 805 is actually better than the current 806, if that helps at all. You can get 805s for less than $500.
  8. There's a KV3 on audiogon.com right now. Nothing too fancy about my Mustang. '01 GT convertible with aftermarket rims, Borla exhaust, Tokico suspension.
  9. Being an owner of Forte IIs and having never heard any Cornwall series, I'd still vote for #2. I wish I had enough room and enough $$ for a setup like that!
  10. Do you know where you got your lighter colored component stand from? What are its dimensions? Thanks! With your speakers, I would toe them in slightly so that they are aimed toward your main listening position. Experiment with slight to extreme toe-in angles and see what you like best. It looks like you have them separated about as far as they can be from each other considering your room layout.
  11. Good price on the RC-64 but I don't think it will match up with your KGs in the least bit. You'll have to turn the output of the RC-64 way down or turn the output of the KGs way up, plus the voicing or timbre of the speakers are totally different. Oh well, you can always sell your KGs and buy new Reference series to replace them with. []
  12. For center speaker, new = none. Used = Another Forte, a Quartet or Academy. Surrounds, pretty much anything you want that's a WDST type speaker. I'm very happy with the speakers listed in my sig. below.
  13. You want your front three speakers to match as close as possible. There isn't any speaker in the current lineup that will be a timbre match to your 10.5s as far as I can tell by looking at all of the currently available center speakers. If you want to use your 10.5s your best bet will be to watch eBay, your local craigslist, etc. If you do buy one that is new from a store make sure you can return it after you buy it and get it home if it doesn't blend with your 10.5s. If you do want to buy new, start with the C3 and then the C2 if that doesn't work out. I wouldn't recommend the C1. Your side surround speakers aren't quite as important to match. The S3s seem to be impossible to find anywhere, I'd recommend S2s or RS-42s if you want to get something that's brand new. I wouldn't recommend anything from Reference series to go with your Synergy series as far as a center speaker goes.
  14. Do you not have a volume knob? [] Seriously, the F3s can handle 600 watts peak. You'll be fine using the amp without modifying anything.
  15. According to Klipsch's handy-diddle-dee-dandy website they recommend the KSF-C5 for the center speaker and the KSF-S5 for surrounds. http://www.klipsch.com/products/discontinued/details/ksf-10-5.aspx
  16. It depends. On eBay you can get the original PS3s that were backwards compatible with PS2 and PSone games. The original ones were the 20gig and 60gig versions. The newer ones aren't backwards compatible to the older game systems. If that isn't a big deal to you I'd recommend buying one new from a local store. I'd go in there and say that Store X in town is selling the PS3s for the same price so why should I buy one here? You might get a gift card from the store that you can use towards a DVD/Blu-Ray remote, second controller, movie, game, etc.
  17. Yep, 01 Mustang GT convertible, also '97 SHO and '08 Caliber as shown below.
  18. Klipsch - pronounce it just like it looks. Also, SHO-MAN, does that refer to a Taurus SHO by chance?
  19. Is a passive woofer considered a vented enclosure? [:^)]
  20. I'd say its a tossup between getting my Onkyo receiver and getting my Hsu MBM-12. The Onkyo just cranks out the power to no end. The MBM really gives you that punch in the gut that my SVS doesn't. The SVS and the MBM pair up together wonderfully.
  21. Thanks for the link, Bill! I'm ordering two of the pictured audio towers. Looks like I'll have a few inches of clearance above the Quartet and be able to sit it upright like it was meant to be! I think my setup will look really nice after I get them. I'll definitely take some pics of the completed setup.
  22. I was wanting that poster for a long time but they were always expensive on eBay, etc. Then about a year or so ago someone on here posted that you could email Maxell and they'd send you one free. I did and I got mine about two weeks later. Good to see that they're giving them away again.
  23. Do you have your subwoofer set to Auto on? If so, then when you switched your speakers to small it routed more bass to the sub and 'woke it up.' Since the sub had then woken up that's why it worked when you changed them to Large. KG2s should always be set to Small. You're also better off leaving the Sub on the On position all the time as well. It uses basically the same amount of electricity as in the Auto position.
  24. It is generally recommended to use a direct radiating bookshelf or floorstanding type speaker rather than a wide dispertion speaker such as your RS-35s for rear surrounds in a 7.1 configuration. If you like your RS-35s then something in the RB series would work well. Also, in a 5.1 setup the surround speakers are recommended to be placed on the side of your listening position and only very slightly behind you.
