  1. OK, here's a few pics of the case. Hope you find them helpful. Mine was the very last Blueberry sold by Mark. That's what he said in the Audiogon ad when I bought it
  2. Sorry I didn't have a chance to get to the pictures last night. Some time today for sure.
  3. Here's the measurements from my Xtreme II case. 20 1/4" L x 11" H x 7 1/4" D. I can post some pics tonight after work. The case is held on through the feet like your Marantz.
  4. When someone says a piece of audio equipment is a sleeper, he means it's generally thought of as a better quality piece, but one that's not talked about a lot therefore does not sell for a lot of money because people don't know a lot about it. At least that's what I've always thought it meant. Like this Mitsubishi amp is not that well known but it very well constructed, performs very well, looks great and doesn't sell for a huge amount of money. Since I sold my VRD-ST45, I've been using mine with my Blueberry Extreme II and Klipschorns and it sounds great.
  5. I've got the whole system with the DA-A15DC amp, DA-P20 pre-amp, DA-F20 tuner, DA-M10 meters and the original rack that holds it all. It's one system I will never part with. Real sleepers for sure. Supposedly inside those cans there are two smaller caps under each, not one large one but it still looks cool.
  6. They are both Electro Voice horns and were never used in Klipschorns that I'm aware of. The 6HD was used when you crossed at 600 in the Patrician IV and the 8HD at 800 in most of their other speaker cabinets.
  7. I didn't want to alter the original crossovers so I replaced the entire hatch and installed new speaker terminals for the woofer. That's exactly what I did. I spoke with Al today and placed an order for the AP12-350 and ES5800 combo to replace the Universals.
  8. Al, I'm getting it now. It's all starting to make some sense finally. Thanks for being so helpful and so patient. One last question though. Besides the cost difference, what are the big differences between the ES400 with the ES5800 and the AP12-350 with the ES5800 since they're both designed for the Khorns?
  9. Al, I'm pretty slow when it comes to understanding how crossovers work and how to read schematics and graphs and it's taken me a couple of reads to feel that I think I understand what it is I need to do if and when I decide to upgrade again. The way I understand it is, since I have the AK2, if I get the AP12-AK3, I still use what's already inside the woofer hatch and add the AP12-AK3 to it? I have to change the two 70 Uf caps to 50 Uf caps first though? What type and brand do you recommend? I also use the 5800 or I can use the Universal for now using the bi-amp input and follow the directions mentioned earlier? Am I close or is my A D D really showing itself tonight? [*-)] Bernie
  10. The last of my line and my third generation, Toni. She was 16 in May and still going strong.
  11. Al, I already have your Universals in my 87 Khorns replacing the AK-2 crossovers. I completely replaced the entire woofer hatch keeping the original woofer section of the crossover intact. From where I'm at now, would you recommend adding to the Universal, one of your extreme slope Woofer Squawker networks or going the route mentioned above using the AP12-350 and replacing everything? I'm using your Trachorns with K55M and the Crites tweeter BTW. Bernie
  12. I would love to see your Patrician IV. I also have one that I've made to look like a large Klipschorn. I just wish I have proper rooms for all these speakers.
  13. The EV T35 is the same as the K-77. The T35b and TW35 which are the same, had a little smaller magnet. TW35 will work fine but go for the T35 if you can.
  14. Hi Bruce! Those were nice La Scalas. They were my second pair. I'd still have them if I didn't come across the Khorns. I've been following some of your posts and have kept up with them as they've been growing up.[]
