  1. Oh, almost forgot I upgraded to the Rega from a Carbon Debut which to me had a very hollow echo to the plinth and that sweet looking but poorly performing Project arm had terrible damping. Always dropped like a rock and skipped into the groove/s
  2. I have been extremly happy with my Rega P-1/Ortofon 2M Blue on my Klipsch rig at home, it sounds pretty good with the 2M Red and Shure M97XE which make it about a $500 setup, I personally don't think you can beat this table with RB202 arm for the price. Herb Albert.MOV
  3. Best to you on the big day Carl, Enchiladas and a cold cerveza sounds like a good dinner after seeing Derrick's post
  4. cool name … i like it. THX Big Stew, he's aged a little and gained 16 pounds but he thinks he's 160lbs The bigger the other dog the more fierce he thinks he is and I keep warning him he's not even a Scooby snack for them
  5. Chopper, our 7 year old Havanese @ 7 weeks However the Avatar does not do him justice so here you go
  6. Well as the old saying goes Mystery, better late than never. Welcome and a nice array of speakers as well. Kind of fond of those JBL's myself
  7. I concur with CECA, surprised more upstaters have not been in contact. For me I'm still in restoration mode
  8. Impossible, hoping you and young Master Steven are doing well. Working on a list of candidates to send Edwin too
  9. Well you did have a 30-30 chance
  10. Thank you Chad, I kept hearing the Heads "Burning Down the House" over and over in my head before you posted
  11. I think that was a killer idea Rich, looks to be a gabled roof (Attic?) on that one side which I'm totally familiar with since my man cave is in mine. They are beautiful K-Horns and a good offering GLWS
  12. Love my old NAD receiver (T763), and I'm currently using it to power my LCR due to the Denon's harshness at higher volumes. NADs just have a wonderful warmth to them; you can find some nice integrated amps on Ebay. Love my T773 driving my Heresys. Effortless. Now I always felt NAD was spot on neutral but maybe a tiny touch of warmth. Bill Indeed they do Willland, I gave my sons my old T751 and Nak for their bedroom to drive the Vandersteen 2C's I gave them. They are finally getting a wall mount flat panel for Christmas so I guess I'll be giving them some old JBL control monitors for a 5.1 setup
  13. I'd say that is a pretty fair call CECA, these exquisite cabs were given to me and I've sank about $1100 parting them back up
  14. Well my 50" Pano Plasma is going on 5 years now and my Insignia LED is going on 2 years old, hopefully the OLED's will be reasonable by the time these wear out
  15. And here all this time I thought it was because you were Corny HeHeHe
  16. Indeed, that slays me CECA LOL You best take backup with you to get them but for $800 smak-o-las it's a no brainer! A little wood filler and hand rubbing you could double your money in a week
  17. Yes for sure pictures, pictures, pictures! I'll be at a Soccer tournament in Memphis this weekend but will be anxious to see all the gear and funs times had
  18. I may beg to differ with you on this one Shakey my man, With the bananas I have on my signal speaker cables there is more surface area within the barrel as opposed to what would touch on a half horseshoe spade
  19. That's a fact Marty, I would see what Dave Mallet and Chris A suggest for digital. Two I know would have the ins on the best digital going. I'm looking around for the best in DAC's myself, the old Pioneer Stable Platter in my EAD Transport still works like a charm but I'm afraid my DSP has been left in the dust as far as DAC's go
  20. It's just another format for us to spend a boatload of cash on to get right! Like Dave says, you want great vinyl playback you have to spend gobs of money to get the best out of the best recorded media and likewise for digital. Sometimes this hobby seems crazy because no matter what you spend nothing is perfect
  21. Well said! I can't believe that any vinyls lover isn't aware of the limitations of vinyls. Again, most of us who own a record player abandoned wax when cd's came out only to come back to it at a later date. Hear hear Sir, to each his own. I'm just hurt Artto did not reference one of my post #'s
  22. Awesome year and love those wooden horns
  23. Music: Head-Fi Hoffman Better Honorable mention itishifi or my good buddy will chill me Cars: VW Forum Playground VWVORTEX
  24. Although I don't drink that often anymore these are staples in my fridge since I personally stopped home brewing Oh, you said Scotchtober! Well this is my choice and what I try to (Hide) keep on hand
