  1. Good call JB, maybe Marty can catch that show. He is awesome live, he does bring new meaning to eccentric Yeah Thad, forgot all about Dead Weather. My mind must have been in the Bone House!
  2. Man this was a top notch reciever in 1979, it had a lot of offering to it. Third speaker post for driving electrostatics, you could actually order it with optional Dolby FM board and the MC phono section was outstanding! When I first came back stateside I went home to SA and Galan Carroll was selling these but alas I was a poor fly boy but had that champagne taste Anyway if you are good with cleaning and tuning up this is a worthy contender in the 120WPC SS receiver corral Still demand respectable coin as well! http://www.ebay.com/itm/like/310980992037?lpid=82
  3. Yeah baby, 21 tonight and close them out at home:-)
  4. I feel your pain on that one Boxx, got myself about two dozen 12" stainless ones last year and they rock as well as clean up nice
  5. OK, now you are confusing me and that is not hard to do I thought this was a grilling thread and you go and start smoker! Going to need a new thread as they are totally different for me at least This is my 11 year old getting his Smores fire up to speed, I have a nice 36" pit built with my place in 1920 which has a very nice grill on the front side of the pit for when I want to grill with hardwood flavors
  6. Can't wait to pick this up Marty, Blunderbuss is a killer album. He is eccentric but it seems most genius's have been, like Joe I have a lot of his works from the Stripes, Raconteurs and his solo stuff. If you like Icky try Get behind me Satan
  7. Absolutely still a great find! The SS1's are worth $100 and the RC-3 between $100 - $150 so you just picked up a FREE pair of Chorus! Exactly what I was thinking I myself would turn the RC's for my money back and find a home for the Chorus in a secondary system, awesome score Dave
  8. Happy Birthday Bruce, as many Bruces as I know I seem to always think of you every time my boys and I are watching Nemo and that dashing specimen of a shark introduces himself to Nemo & Dory "Hi, name's Bruce" Congrats on another ful set of moon phases! OK, so it's the 11th then, let's quote another great one from Mr. Mom, 220/221 whatever it takes
  9. That's using the old cue-ball Joe! No offense intended, I'm bald as a 16 pound bowling ball myself:-)
  10. An excellent reasons to buy a Q-Up gentlemen;-) Not sure the wear and tear level on the. Stylus tip when in the loop groove but I'm sure it's not good for it or your speakers ( at least that is what I convinced myself of)!
  11. "Are you ready kids.................................Oh............................"
  12. The orphanage I grew up in was in San Antonio where I went to high school and atended many Spurs games, I'm from the Ice Man Era and have been a life long fan and all I have to say to the Heat is "If you can't take the Heat stay out of Texas" Like has been mentioned already I'm not giving this loss to them because James was out, being the top athlete he is and knowing he has suffered this before he should have been watering up the minute they knew the building started to get warm! I also agree with JL on the Pop and Tim, I so want Tim to get this title. I remember the Admiral bringing Tim up as a pup and all the years of everyone calling the Spurs a soft non physical team and once again they show their moxy This coach and team know how to overcome anything and prevail, here's hoping they continue to open eyes
  13. Well you see something good came out of all of it after all.....Juicy Music customers are no longer hanging out in the wind with no support. I'm taking it this "Cheap Shot" is not an admission of copywrite infringement:-0 I'm sure the words "Class Act" have also never been associated with you as well! I will say and admit, you do have your followers and then there are the rest of us;-)
  14. I think you pretty much hit the nail with that one John, additional power is for keeping it clean when peaks are required. Filling those gaps is basically stopping clip. I'm guessing as I'm far from any kind of elecctrical engineer but I've thought that "Reserve Capacitance" was what BAT calls joules (what BAT upgrades to with their BAT-PAK upgrade) Not adding any more watts but creating enough backup reserve to cover peaks which does sound like you have more watts I guess.
  15. I resent that. +1 Amy, ouch Mikey
  16. And Austin asked "Do these speakers make you horny baby" Very Shaggalicious Dean and I'm sure the Las and Corns will follow. Best of luck completing that system
  17. I hear you Joe, I'll go up in the man cave and have six or seven lined out (vinyl boys I know what you were thinking) in front of the table and the next thing you know I've flipped them all and it's 2:15 again
  18. Great score and an awesome setup USNRET, you did not mention that I saw but that is a 2500? with Graham Phantom 2M Black? To coin Jack-Barts line "Top Notch"
  19. I like Mike Say buddy have you gotten a copy of this yet?
  20. I believe that would be "POINT" well taken
  21. Yeah, no kidding. My Quarter Pie Bass Horns stomp LaScalas using a little more plywood and floor space with the same K-33 drivers, and I never got this many pages. LOL. Claude, is this the equivalent to a jealous rage for you All this time I thought the problem was thin bass vs. 1/4 pie bass horns but all along it was page count
