  1. I would accept 4500.00 for my system. I agree with the fiar maket value assesment. Any offers please let me know as I am looking to move them asap. Thanks again. Oh, I am only looking to move this system, as I am ready to try something new and different. After working in A/V for a long time, I just cannot stick with anyone thing for more than a year or so. Expensive hobby I know, but fun it is. Mike Browning mikepbrowning@hotmail.com
  2. Sorry guys, I live in Lebanon Indiana, not the country going through war. Might be helpful. thanks
  3. I have a very well taken care of 5.2 THX Ultra 2 system(with original boxes and packing) that I am in need of selling for new speakers with a wood veneer finish. They have been very well taken care of, and the system consists of 3-KL-650, 2 KS-525, 1-KA-1000 and 2 KW-120's. The 3 KL-650's have been internally coated with Hushmat Ultra dampening material and it greatly improves voicing by eliminating cabinet resonance at all. They have been used only with Monster M2.4 and 1.4 cabling, using electronics run using the AVS2000 signature and HTPS7000signature voltage stabilizer and power center/line conditioner. Retail for this system is $9050.00 us. I am considering all resonable offers, lowballs will not be considered, since I need to replace them, fair market value will be accepted. Please email me at mikepbrowning@hotmail.com
  4. Your best bet would be to go with the Yamaha RXV-657, or equivalent. I think there is a new model now. You get multi-channel direct, 6ch preamp outs for an external amp, multi-zone and it is 500.00 retail new. Take a shot at it you will love it
  5. To be honest I can not say, since it was purchased from Klipsch directly while I was an employee of a reseller. If you have any questions about anything please email me...mikepbrowning@hotmail.com Thanks, Mike
  6. I have owned the RF7 system and do now own the THX ultrs 2 system. I like them both but the winner is the THX's.By the way i am selling my THX system 3 kl650's, 2 ks525's 1 ka1000 and 2 kw120's. I have all boxes and it was purchased directly from Klipsch while i worked an at AV dealer. I am asking 5000.00 obo. I need to get some new speakers in a darker woodgrain to match the new motif.
  7. I have a 5.1 THX Ultra 2 system, that i will more than likely need to part with. I have 3-KL650's, 2-KS525's, 2-KW-120's and 1-KA1000THX. I also have all packing and boxes for the above equipment. I have used them for about a year and a half and all the 650's have been modified with a heavy coat of Hushmant Ultra sound deadening material. This made them even more open and smooth, by taking out the cabinet resonance that can occur. Let me know what you think a fair price would be and I will consider all offers. they should be available in a few weeks.
  8. I as well use the THX Ultra 2 system and am quite pleased with it. There are some times when the overall enveloping sound makes you forget you are watching a movie. I may be looking to part ways with mine only because of some room changes and need a more appealing cosmetically package in a woodgrain veneer.
  9. I hope you are careful with your speakers since you don't have any warranty.
  10. I would greatly recommend getting an outboard and some good interconnects and you will greatly be reqarded with better sound than upgrading to the 4806. Also PM me if you are looking for a THX ultra 2 system, i may be looking to part ways with mine...
  11. using the rvx-42 for a center is fine, they designed it to be used as such, you could also use the RCX4. Either way you have a winner, i would do the RVX-42 personally. that would be a good choice. dont think to hard on the subject, just buy and enjoy.
  12. The RF5's by far are more open, and detailed in the upper range, the bass is cleaner and more detailed. The specs are only a small part of the difference. The F3's have a plastic cone vs. cerametallic cone. The latter being fay stronger, lighter and more rigid allowing it to respond far quicker that the F3 in all midrange and bass area's. There is a huge difference between them. From managing a store that carried both and hearing them side by side, yes it is that big of a difference. Thanks and good luck.
  13. the difference is like the difference between a ford focus and an SVT mustang cobra, you cannot even seriously consider the F3's in the same sentence with the RF5's. Save yourself the time and buy the 5's and sit back and enjoy
  14. I am sorry but any dealer who violates his reatiler agreement for a company is absolute scum. They are illegally disregarding the manufacturer who signed them on to faithfullly, and legally sell their product, ruining the market, lowering the actual value of the product, and therefore lowering expectations for the quality for the product. There is a distribution channel for a reason and anyone who knowingly bypasses that should be shut down. I would like to know what someone who works for Klipsch, Sony etc. truly thinks about this subject. If the little guy doesnt like the way things are done in respects to special purchase deals, then they should get out of the business, because you cannot tell me they dont know thats how it is coming into the business. They know the risks of opening a business and they know the risks of being in the market where they are. If you own a business and sell to gray market sellers, i wish you nothing but bad luck because you are immoral and untrustworthy, and shold have every product pulled from you and shit down. You know the risks, you lied, and cheated. Last i checked people were not supposed to rationalise something thats morally wrong, and legally wrong, because they feel like it. If that is the case why cant we do what every we want when we want since the rules dont apply.
  15. how is dishonest selling keeping manufactures honest. And in case you havent noticed, companies like klipsch, denon, paradigm, jl audio, kenwood, boston acoustics, have all signed on with net enforcers to track such products, and klipsch and jl audio alone have cut off probably 10-15 million dollars a year worth of dealers in the last 24 months, they would not do this is if it helped the company....
