Thanks for your replies. I love my 30's but am curious about what the 8's can do with the proper power since they dip to 2 ohms at 90hz. I'm considering adding a Crown XLS 1002 digital amp that delivers 525 watts per channel at 2 ohms.

Has anyone ever had the opportunity to compare the KLF 30;s to the Infinity Kappa 8;s? I just got a pair of the Kappa 8's and I'm in the process of re-storing them.

You won't find a Sunfire TGR3 in better shape than this one. I've had Rotel and Adcom seperates and the Sunfire outperforms them all. If you want to discuss it I can be reached at 803-608-5031. Thanks for looking.

How does it sound using only the internal amps? Also, where did you buy it?

Tromprof, How did you hook up your turntable? I haven't seen a phono input of the SC-1222.

I'm using KLF 30's as fronts. a C7 as a center and KSP S-6 as surrounds. I'm looking to buy a new receiver with a budget of $1,000. I need recommendations on what brands would sound the best with my set up. I have no way locally to test the various brands. I've been looking at Denon, MMarantz, Pioneer and Harmon Kardon. I would appreciate any suggestions.

The KLF-30's have been sold.

I've been using them as surrounds and I recently purchased a pair of KSP S-6's to use instead.

What type of "slight mods" are you talking about for the KLF 30's? I have four (4) in my system and what you said about amplification is so true..

Where did you find the RF 63's & RC64 for $1780?

Thanks for the responses. The room size is about 14X22 and the mix is about 50/50 music and movies. He is using a mid level Denon receiver without a sub. Used would be a definite consideration, if we could find them within driving distance of Columbia, SC. I've heard too many reports of damage when shipping any kind of speaker without having the original shipping containers..

We are putting together a system that will include only the front floor standing speakers and center channel in a HT setup. My friend has been looking at Axiom speakers and I have recommended that he try Klipsch. I'm not that familiar with the new products, since my system is KLF 30's and a C-7. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
