Amy, Will there be a pair of Jubilee's there ? What speakers will be there ? Thanks Mike T. -
Someone mentioned tube pre-amps. What is your opinion of the blueberry extreme ? The next version is supposed to have a remote.
-
All types of music except rap or disco. Loud 20 x 17 If its good maybe up to 5 - 7 K I have been thinking of a tube preamp and maybe use my SX-1980 for power. Getting the warmth of tubes and the tight bass of SS.

I have a pair of Belles and was told to buy tubes... McIntosh is my first choice.... any other choices ??

I own a Scout. I lost a Stanton 8005m table (gyropoise arm, magnetic suspension). To replace it I tried a Rega 300 with a Benz Silver cart. I did not like it one bit and it seemed cheap. The Rega .... I have since replaced the Rega with a VPI Scout and a Dynavector 20 high output. Best money I ever spent. But do not buy their dustcover.... there are better ones out there.... check out JMK Displays

That I have... Pioneer SX-1980.

Found a pair of Belles in mint condition $2400

I would not trust the dealer.... there is no such thing.... speakers that old can't be any good... trust me ... trust me.... Are you convinced ? Then where are these mint Belles located... Just kidding Good luck. I have one pair and am looking for another. I use a Pioneer SX-1980 and it does not take much power to play these at a high level. They do seem to lacl a little on bass, but I have a sub and that fills in nicely for movies. Good Luck -
Thank you everyone for your replies. Yes they have been discontinued but I found a dealer that had a pair on display. I am still looking for a tube amp/

Just set up a new set of Belles (well dealer display). I have a Pioneer SX-1980 and the meters don't even move and they play at a good level. My question is how much different do the LaScala's sound ... more bass?? One more.... what would be a good tube amp for these ? Thanks

I am open to something else....

I am looking for a good table to play 45's and some 78's. So far my choices are ... Thorens TD-190 Dual CS 455 Stanton ST-150 REK-O_KUT Rondine JR. a pitch control would be nice. Thanks
-
It looks like a nice table but I am concerned over the use of a P-mount cartridge. What are you asking for it and why are you selling ? Thanks

I just bought a pair from a dealer... new for $4000.00 I asked about ordering another pair and was told no. This was 1 month ago. The factory rep said they are not available, so what gives ? -
Disappointed in my audition of the RF83

For about half the price try the McIntosh MA2275. -
Hi Dean, If you do kits or have a list of parts that should be replaced count me in. I have rf-7's , rc-7's and a pair of Belle's..(brand new). Thanks Mike T.

I would like some input... I have a pair of RF-7's and an RC- 7 as a 3rd channel. Right now I feed it with a Pioneer sx-1980. What would be a good tube amp ? Thanks
-
Thank you everyone for your input. I am driving the RF-7's with a Pioneer SX-1980. What do you mean by "properly set up" ?Do you just move them till it sounds good ? Is there a starting point ? Thanks Again

At one time Dynaco promoted quadraphonic sound without additional amplifiers. You just needed 2 additional speakers and of course they recommended one of their amps. I use the 3 channel verison and it works just fine. For the 3 channel you have to make sure your amp has a common ground between the left and right channels. Then you just hook up the + from the left to one side of your rear channel and the + from from the right to the other side. Depending on how it plays in relation to your mains you might need to pad the signal. Information that is out of phase will play in the rear. You will be surprised at what you hear. I will try and find they aricle and scan it.
