  1. First I just gotta ask, I'm starting to notice the larger Synergy speakers like the C-3 and S-3 are no longer in production, so I'm first asking are the Quintet III's still a current Klipsch product? And for my main question, A lot of people recommend the Sub-10 to compliment the Q3's, it seems like a good choice but what about the SVS PB-10, is it too much sub for the Quintets? How does it compare to the Sub-10?
  2. Yes, I have a Bluray player. It's not useless for other people but it would be for me.
  3. According this extensive Bluray PQ list, people think differently. http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?t=858316
  4. Probably has been discussed before. But did the CS-300 even come out or was it just a prototype? Should be nice to have instead of buying a CS-500 with a useless DVD player.
  5. No Synergy isn't BestBuy exclusive Many Reference/Heritage dealers also sell Synergy, such as Ultimate Electronics.
  6. Trey has some cherry F-2s beside his La Scalas II's
  7. What would be a recommended distance from a wall with a pair of RF-83's, I'm trying to see if I can work them into my room.
  8. Sounds like a good idea, but I can't be that person in my area, I don't have a BB. Moved to the sticks.
  9. There are still a few new sets of RB-75's floating around the internet for $900, would it be a worth while upgrade to get them if I already own F-3s?
  10. Ouch, that link you gave is an unauthorized NAD dealer, with a 1.8 out of 10 store rating, I wouldn't touch them with a 10 foot pole, I paid the extra to have a warranty. Their NAD stuff is most likely B-Stock / Refurbished The reason I know they are unauthorized is I asked NAD Customer Support.
  11. How about this... How many times can we really listen to DSOTM, I mean it's a great Album, but are 20 different formats really going to make a difference, music is music, enjoy it for what it is. Personally I've listened to DSOTM too many times as to where the only time it's being played is to demo my system to people. And actaully I've lately stopped using it as demo material.
  12. Where was Depeche Modes latest CD "Playing The Angel" recorded? It sounds amazing, simply amazing!
  13. Without a doubt I can tell a huge difference over my previous source which was my PC with an Audigy 2 sound card. Espesually with HDCD's, but it could be just every other CD player I've heard my HDCD's in sucks compared to this NAD. It's also WAY louder then I'm used to, before it was loud but now it's LOUD, I can't even bare to turn it past 1/4. I have no need to play with the tone controls as well, they will stay flat. I'm listening to some Duran Duran right now, sounds beautiful
  14. I had bend over backwards to get some answers out of the place I ordered my NAD C542 CD player from but it finally came today. I'm never again ordering from Harvey Electronics in NY, they may be NAD Authorized but I guess that means nothing in terms of customer service. Now just to wait for my line conditioner to come (from another place)
  15. For that price I want the original reel to reel tape and machine.
  16. Deleted I cleared it up myself
  17. Yeah same here, we chop down khorns and cornwalls and throw them in the fire, burns quite well.
  18. By the way Mike, if you are wondering why I haven't called. I haven't really even had time to use my new camera yet, other then a few quick shots when I went to St. Louis. It's kind of a shame right now to have spent so much money on a camera and not even beable to use it, but I gotta work to make the moonies.
  19. Well I guess I've held it off long enough. I want to get into the fun world of turntables, I really have no clue where to start. I know a few brands like Rega and Pro-Ject but that's about it. I actaully have a budget on this cause I don't wanna go crazy overboard if I end up not liking it, I've been actaully look at maybe buying a higher end gently used TT for maybe $300-400, but also if I end up liking it I don't wanna be stuck with something I'll want to upgrade immediately. How good are lower end tables like the Rega Planar 2 or Pro-Ject Debut III? Are they enough for someone with quality in mind to be satisfied with? Both those I wouldn't mind buying new because the price seems decent.
  20. 102db = 1w 111db = 8w 120db = 64w 126db = 256w Trust me, you have nothing to worry about with your 600 watts driving the RF-7's you will greatly pass the comfort limit before you have to worry about doing that, unless you are sitting there with hearing protection on listening to your music.... Now stop worrying about it and go enjoy those RF-7's, Unless you want to give them to me. I'll be glad to take them off your hands.

    Outlaw Amp

Seems I was misinformed about Outlaw, I was pretty sure DrWho said they were pro amps in nice looking cases though.

    Outlaw Amp

Recommended 400w for KLF30's??? WHO SAID THAT? They are 102dB sensitivity are you INSANE? I have 150x2 seperate amp pushing my F-3's and part of me wishes I saved money and bought the 50x2 amp instead, I have an overkill amount of power and mine are only 97dB Do the KLF30's have a big impedance dip like the RF-7s did? Maybe thats why they recommended 400w but still, geesh. But anyway how much are they asking for the Outlaw, DrWho told me before Outlaw amps are just commercial pro amps in home audio cases, and many have said their amps aren't as good in terms of sound quality then most home audio receivers/amps. Expesually for 2 channel. Outlaw makes one hell of an awesome pre/pro though.
  23. My NAD 2 channel preamp has 2 sets of preamp outputs which are variable too so you can adjust the output Model C162 it's $600 But if you ask me I'm not a big believer in subs for a true 2 channel system, I'd run small bookshelfs without a sub, I'm that hardcore. hehe Espesually with modern tower speakers and old speakers like Heritage, I wouldn't even think about running a sub with them. Speaking of which you have KLF-30's why on earth do you want a sub? Or is that not the system you want the sub for.
