About Me

Hi there, you might remember me from a time when I was a Klipsch Community administrator, mostly in '07 and '08; I worked as a web developer at the Klipsch Indy office at that time.

I have basically always been an audiophile, from my father's interest in the hobby. Dad's a 'stat man, has big Sound Lab full range panels and Atma Sphere amps to run 'em. When an opening at Klipsch Indy popped up why, that just seemed like a natural fit.

Working there as an audiophile was indeed a gas; long ago we kept some of our IT stuff in the same areas as engineering so I had keyed access to parts of the building a lot of non-engineering folks couldn't go without an escort. I ended up getting to know many of the folks there and was able to join in on blind A/B testing they would allow employees to sign up for. I even ended up manning a demo room for the 2007 Pilgrimage in Indy (Debuting the Icon Wood line!). Probably one of the coolest experiences was getting a private tour of engineering scheduled for my Father with Jim Hunter as our guide. We got to go in the anechoic chamber (of course) and Jim had a set of Palladium P-39F ready as well as Klipschorns for us to hear. Lots of really great people working there.

The important thing about that experience was it's turned me forever into a Klipsch Fan. Not because I worked there and not because employees are allowed to get a discount on products or the private tour. But it's because the products are that great, at least that's what my ears tell me. I went in never having heard Klipsch kit with an open an unbiased mind, but one that wanted to be proven on the Klipsch legend. And I was not and have never been disappointed. As may be evidenced below, I really mean that
