Golden Blunder

I'm planning on buying a pair of Klipsch speakers for my home stereo in my room (12x12). I already have a fairly nice pair of old Infinity speakers, but I want to add more flavor to my system. After reading numerous online reviews and forum posts bashing Bose, I figured that Klipsch was the best bang-for-the-buck. I'm a huge audiophile and would be using the speakers mainly for musical enjoyment rather than TV/DVD etc. Also, I plan for these new speakers to be the secondary part of my system, either placing them on the opposite wall or to the left and right of my couch. My main question is which pair should I buy and where should I position them? My range is between $200-400, and I originally thought something like the SS-1/.5's or the S-1/2/3's. What would you all recommend? any help appreciated! -john
