  1. Now a set of CW 1's in Mass for $599. Item # 5831001552.
  2. Look's like a deal for someone. Better hurry. No affiliation. e-bay item 5830958995
  3. Lynn was a great help to me when I was discouraged about my type "C" Khorns. He put things into perspective and I valued his advice. I will miss his posts and will pray for his family.
  4. So how many variations of the CF4 were there? I have a pair from '95 and the CF4's were only made from '94 to '96. Mine have the 2.5" ports and a small magnet (compared to the Heritage I own) on the woofers. Sounds like version 3 to me from the descriptions. Yet I wonder. Wouldn't it take research and development some time to determine that they needed to change drivers and port size to save some money? If the version 1 sounded so good, why risk loosing sales by making an inferior product with subsequent versions? I came across 2 pair in this area and both have the 2.5" ports. A friend of mine in West Palm has a pair and they too have the small ports. Where are the Version 1's? Does anybody have a pair? I have already talked with Dean and he has a crossover. Wouldn't the crossover correct any deficiencies with the latter version of the CF4?
  5. Bill, Congrats on the Forte's. They are an awesome speaker and will bring a smile to your face.
  6. If you are close by to Tampa\St. Pete, I have a set of late 70' or early 80's Heresy's I'll sell for $250. I bought them from a local used record dealer and I believe he got them from a police auction. Really not sure of the year but I had posted them here a few months ago with no interest. If you are a distance then I'm sure you will eventually see some for a very resonable price in your area.
  7. Although I have a relatively low post count for the length of time I have been on the forum, I read the forum everyday. You have been a class act since day 1. My prayers are with you and the family tonight.
  8. St. Pete\Tampa FL Local pick-up only. Lightly used CS Ultra. I say lightly used due to it being powered by an Adcom GFA555 and the amp was not adequate for the beefy SVS. I found a Mirage BPS400 locally and am very pleased with it's performance. So much so that I don't want to invest in another amp for the SVS, so my loss is your gain. Looking to get $600. It has been sitting idle now for months. I will also let the Adcom go for $400. Posted also in Powered Subs even though it's not powered.

  10. To me, the RF7's are superb sounding speakers.......but........they do not sound like the other speakers mentioned. KLF, Chorus, Cornwall, Forte's have a unique horn sound that isn't shared with the 7's. There is a "Heritage" sound that a Klipschorn possess' that the other models fall in line close to. IMO, the 7's sound clean but the Heritage sound "live". Hope that made sense.
  11. KLF30's are reported to be the "best" R&R speakers in the line-up.
  12. I said goodbye in my "Dome of Silence". Too bad nobody heard it!!!
  13. Gertrude, Maude, and Audrey Three old ladies named Gertrude, Maude, and Audrey were sitting on a park bench having a conversation, when a flasher approached from across the park. The flasher came up to the ladies, stood right in front of them, and to their shock and dismay, opened his trench coat. Gertrude immediately had a stroke. Then Maude also had a stroke But Audrey, being older and a bit more feeble, couldn't reach that far.
  14. E-Bay # 5810898215 Those are beautiful. Someone is going to be happy and have money left over for an amp. Not affiliated either but wish they were closer.
  15. Looks like after the Hurricane wiped out his house and posessions, Clarence Gatemouth Brown lost the will to live this last weekend. I really liked his music and will truely miss seeing him at Skippers Smokehouse in Tampa. I once had a conversation with him at Skippers in the parking lot and he was a real nice "down to earth" guy.
  16. I purchased a pair around 2 years ago for $400. 3 weeks ago I found another pair locally for $325. Both are oiled oak and in excellent condition. Recent e-bay sales have a range from $299 to $442. I personally think they are worth more but this is what the market seems to be paying right now. IMO, the Forte and Chorus are the hidden gem's of the Klipsch line.
  17. I have delt with Bob on 2 occasions and he is very helpful and has excellent service. Don't hesitate to send your crossovers to him if they are due for a rebuild.
  18. I purchased a pair from Sound Advice ~3-4 years ago for $700. They were mohagony that were either floor samples or at a customers house for the 60 day trial period. Didn't like them as much as my KLF30's at the time so I tiik them back. Still regret that but such is life.
  19. I use an Onkyo Integra M504 to power my Klipschorns. I switch back and forth between it and a Scott 299C tube intergrate. Love the sound from both though I with the Scott had more power.
  20. Oh...we're talking about music...I thought the topic was about a "laser" to blow up the earth!!
  21. Your Conwalls will drive you out of the room on 10 watts so 120 is pleanty of power. I'm in the minority on this board as I do like Yamaha with Klipsch. Keep reading and you will soon be buying some tubes to make those CW's really shine.
  22. I can reply on 2 of them. The CF1 or Epic speakers are stunningly good for 2 6.5" drivers. I used them in my 2 channel system while my Khorn x-over's were being refurbed. I had written a post about them stating that the bass was deep coming from the 8" drivers but was corrected by someone that the drivers were smaller than that. That even impressed me more. $300 seems a little spendy seeing as how I just picked up some CF2's for $200 this weekend. The BIC Venturis are a nice little bookshelf speaker but not worth near $200. I had gotten several pair off U-Bid a few years back for around $60 delivered.
  23. I was just wondering if you still had the Onkyo M508 that you mentioned in your ad? I have a P308 and an M504, but was always curious as to how mech better(different) the M508 was. Tried to PM and e-mail but kept getting an error messagr.
  24. Not only is this a shameless bump, but what's it going to take to sell these speakers? I know I eliminated the large part of the audience with the pick-up only thing but I know there are a few of us in this area that read the board.
