Klipsch > Sony It not even a contest. No one would waste their time setting up the 2 systems to compare them. Dont blame Klipsch because you bought something off ebay where all parts where mixed around.

I was originally just going to use my Xbox 360 as a DVD player thinking it would play DVD's in 720p or 1080i, but I found out it plays them in 480p so I ran to BestBuy picked one up, It has Hi-Def conversion to 720p and 1080i so I dont see why I should spend a ton of money on a DVD player when this one has what I need. Tomorrow im getting the HDMI cable so all will be well. I checked the reviews on this DVD player(Samsung DVD-HD845) and ppl say that the Hi-Def conversion on it works reallly good, so why should I spend a ton of money on a DVD player when this one does everything I need it to do?

I did some intensive research and I figured out what I got to do. Turns out that Hi-Def conversion DVD players I only converts DVDs to 720p or 1080i when connected to the TV threw a HDMI cable. So tomorrow im going to buy a HDMI cable from BestBuy(could save 20 dollars if I order it) But I dont want to wait anymore. Went threw enough frustration I just want to get it.

I recently hooked up my Sony 60" Grand WEGA and setup the surround sound and such. I tried playing a DVD using my Xbox 360 as a dvd player. Well when the DVD started playing it looked really bad so I checked the format and it was only playing the DVD at 480p. So I figured that I cant play DVD's on HDTV with the XBOX. So I go out and buy a Samsung DVD player from bestbuy costing $100 dollars. The box says outputs in 720p/1080i Digital. So I come home and hook it all up, setup the DVD player so it outputs in componet. Run the DVD and same problem. Instead of playing the DVD in 480p though now it is playing in 480i, EVEN WORSE. I check the setup on DVD player again and it will only let me change the format to 720p or 1080i if im using a HDMI cable. So for me it is looking like I cant get good quatily unless I use HDMI, I dont understand that though because I see HDTVs all the time playing DVDs good in using componet. Please if anyone can help me here it would be greatly appriciated

I recently just bought 2 Synergy F-3's and I was wondering what is the difference between them and RF-63's? It seems like lots of people go with the Reference line of Speakers instead of the Synergy in this fourm, Why is that also?

LoL the reason I said " ^what" is because I was reading ur profile by accident. I just looked at everything u typed really fast and assumed it was a quote from what I said so I dident read it. Anyway, I defaintly understand about signal conversions because I work alot with computer graphics and such, But I really was hoping for someone who has switched to HDMI to tell me if there was a difference. Although in theory it it should aprove greatly from componet. I know this is really only a place to post questions about Home Theater but I figured you guys would know this anyway. I just got my new TV and it supports HDMI so I would like to use it. I was wondering if HDMI makes a big enough of a difference from componet to be worth it. The DVD player im looking to buy is $154.99 then the HDMI wire is another $70 if I buy a decent name, only $25 if I buy a complete no name. Let me know what you think.

I never really had remores because I never really thought it was better then the Sub-12. I just wanted to hear from someone that knew alot about subs. I love my Sub-12, I have my room in the basement and my sisters room upstairs shakes like crazy when Im watching a movie.

On Bestbuy.com I noticed Athena Technologies has released their 800 -Watt subwoofer. I was wondering if anyone knows how it compares to the Synergy Sub-12 that I just bought a week ago. I know that watts isent the only thing important to a subwoofer but the other stats on it looks good to. Only thing that dont seem good on it is the weight of the Magnet. I dont know how much the weight the magnet on the Sub-12 is but for Car Subwoofers 28oz is really low for a subwoofer.

I just hooked up the sub-12 and all I can say is WOW...... It sounds amazing. My clothes is shaking as im watching Master and Commander. Defiatly worth every penny. How do you have ur settings on ur Sub and Reciever strutter?

I just built a room in my basement that is made for my up comming Home Theater Setup.Something Im still debating about is, what Subwoofer should I get. Im either looking at getting the RW-12 or the Synergy Sub-12. I read some things in other post about how if you are in the basement then the RW-12 sub is better, but I have a full padded and carpeted floor so really it is no different then upstairs. What do you think I should do?

When I went to bestbuy to check out the subs they got there I noticed that they had a splitter on there Synergy Sub-12. I dont know if they just did it because thats what they thought they should do or if they know a real reason to do it.

Ight thanx man. I want to get the 12 but It very expensive and Im not putting the sub In that big of a room so it doesent need to be massive.Right now I have a 8" Yamaha Sub with a output of 100 watts and It sounds really good, So a 10" Sub with 420 watts should be sick.

Im very close to buying the Synergy Sub-10. When looking at picture of it I noticed that it has a Red and White RCA cable hook-up in the back when my Reciever only outputs 1 RCA. So in order to connect the subwoofer to my reciever do I just put a splitter on the end of my subwoofer cable?
