Yes, I am from Australia - Frementle huh ? That's a nice coincident (SP?), cause Australia is pretty BIG and you just happen to port in the territory that I am in, which is WA - Perth. Frementle is about 20min from where I am, I take mom to fishing and all that there, very nice and peaceful. Unsure about the Ale, or any alcoholic stuff for that matter as I don't drink. The Mujahideen took over Afgah and liberated it but meanwhile, the then Elected Prime Minister Najibullah who was placed in Afgah BY the Russia still rules and, get this, he was protected BY the UN. This, I believe was in 1992. In 1994, the Taliban Milita was then borned and moved against the Rabbani government, who was elected as president. Note, the UN or the US did NOTHING, absolutely NOTHING. The Taliban gained full control in 1996, forcing the government into exile. Only after Bin Laden turned against US after the war against Russia did America started to do something about it, but by then, Talian was too strong and was protecting Bin Laden - want to know why Bin Laden was treated and looked up as a hero, cause of his leadership during the Afghan and Russia's war, BACKED by America. There were PROOF that mass murder, close to genocide was done to the Afghan people by the Taliban from 1996 onwards and the UN, America did NOTHING.. even though they were elected as the WORLD protector. I totally agree, they should be dealt with and taken out but my point is this: This is a war that started YEARS ago, Taliban against the basic humanity rights - everyone turned a blind eyes to it until it reached the doorsteps of America. WTC got bombed and a few of the Pakistanian celebrate. If you bothered to check it further, you will find that MOST pakistanian and most Muslim were SHOCKED with what happened and condemmed it. The reporter that took the video of the Pakistanian celebration ADMITTED that he faked the pictures, meaning there were only 10 or so people dancing and he took the video from different angles to make it looks like there were MORE. The bombing on Afghan, I am not saying it's right or wrong - but what I will like to point out that civilians are being killed as well. Instead of taking this war as it is and 'going in' to do a job that needs to be done, it seems there 'MORE' people (from this forum) are celebrating this horrible war and missing the facts that a lot of innocent civilians are getting killed, man, women and children whose only crime are being at the wrong place at the wrong time. So please, you guys are better than that - don't celebrate as this is not a laughing matter. Sucks... that's one of the reason I am worry about getting a Klipsch as well.. I am running on Altec ADA890 now.. I heard the bass is not as powerful.. but the sound quality and all is BRILLIANT and it comes with a remote control... I do NOT have a problem with Altec.. You might want to consider that.. I know when Klipsch works.. it's a dream.. but it's close to being like a russian roulette.. I know they say that the failure rate is not high at all.. be that as true.. even if it's 1 outta 1 million set.. if you are that poor '1' that get a BAD set.. it's a real hassel and all to repack, send it.. called up.. get a return number.. etc etc. -DoomsDay

Sorry, this will probably not be agreed upon by other people and this is just my opnion. The movie SUCKS! It's a repeat of the first (almost) but with the same irritating concept of a 'amazing' discovery that was already explored in the first JP (and also the book) When the Raptor went calling and all and Sam went 'They are communicating' - like WOW ? Hello, he said the same deal in the first movie, how Raptors hunt in pack and they can communicate and 'SET traps'. To me, it the same movie, different actors. It's the same deal of 'Group of morons go in, attacked by bad animals with sharp teeths, group of morons get smaller, get attacked AGAIN, etc etc etc..' =o) DoomsDay

Hiya, I remember having the same problem and if I remember right, the culprit was actually hardware, rather than software. A bit of question though, how long have you had the 'case' for and if you have had it long, then did it used to do it under a different setting, assuming you had Win98 before you installed Win2000. I will check the power supply and all, if you have an ATX case, a little power surge and what's not, will 'click' and reset your PC. DoomsDay

Hi everyone, I am hoping someone could help me out here. I have a Santa Cruz soundcard and using PowerDVD (v3) to play my DVD. At the moment, I am having a LOT of difficulty in configuring them to play DVD with Dolby Digital output on all 4 speakers. (Altec Lansing ADA890) The speakers have hardware dolby decoder. I am just trying to isolate the components to see which one have been set incorrectly so I am taking the speakers out of the equation. Has anyone got a similar software and soundcard setup and if so, how do you set them so that you are able to enjoy Dolby sound out of all your 4speakers ? I currently have tried setting PowerDVD audio to 'Digital output / SP/DIF output' (one of those two) and my Santa Cruz to 4 speakers, Versajack Digital out but I am not getting ANY sound out. All advice will be sooooo greatly appriciated.. DoomsDay

Hi people, Good news - I just got an Email from Innovision last nite that the dealership with Klipsch and Innovision has gone through and Innovision will start to ship in Klipsch 4.1 in 5 weeks time. Before then, I have had a very enjoyable EMail corrsponding session with Innovision (Cheyene and Nikki) and I have to tell you that they are VERY nice and helpful and I can only imagine that they will truly look after Klipsch fan as far as the purchasing and customer support issues with PM 4.1. They have not put up Klipsch products on their web site yet but I think Dave has posted an URL of this internet shopping place that you can purchase Klipsch from. Bear in mind that Innovsion does not sell to public but they will be able to direct you to your local shops who will stock PM. GOOD NEWS - PM4.1 is only going to cost you $650 !! (or around that figure) as opposed to $1000 !!! - saving of $350 that you can, if you want, get a PM2.1 *grin* Sadly, I was unaware that Klipsch was helping their fans in OZ and was looking into other dealership. Thus, I have gone out to purchase a set of ADA890. Oh well, run that for a year, sell it cheap and get me PM5.2 (rev 2!) - sounds like a plan to me.!!! Klipsch, thank you for looking after us and looking at better dealship to take care of your products in Oz and for all you people who were drooooling over PM, GOOD luck and do keep me posted about how the system goes when you get them. Hi, I am unsure if what I am asking is off topic to this forum or not but as I do not know where else to ask this and I have generally gotten very very good replies/responses and help, I am hoping someone would be able to help me. Running 4.1 (4 Speakers and 1 Sub), on Klipsh, are you able to choose between Dolby Digital, Stereo, Prologic and Quad or is the mode of the setup, or is it alway set to a default Surround sound; Do you get ALL 4 speakers output when you are running on Dolby Digital; Do you have Subwoof volumn control on yoru 4.1 ? All replies will be greatly appriciated and I thank you for taking your time out to read and reply to this post. DoomsDay

Hiya, I have pretty much given up on Klipsch Speakers and gone out to get me Altec Lansing ADA890 for $565. VERY good price considering the cheapest that you can get them for in the States is U$280 (AU$560). ADA came with Remote and from what I have read, the make on them are better, more solid casting and better headphone sockets, but with REMOTE. Woo Hoo! I do know people from the States but I was not prepare to fork out an insane amount of money on a unit that I will not be getting warranty on. Ooo yeah, latest price on 4.1 in Perth, $920. *HA!* I got myself the ADA890 and Santa Cruz for $765. a MUCH better purchase in my book. =o) Anyway, for all your Perth Klipsch fan, I will seriously consider ADA890 - just cause of the price. I ain't knocking Klipsch but at 1k, WAY OVER priced. -DoomsDay

I am glad I am not the only one in Australia that is furious with what's going on with the Klipsch speakers. I have called around and this is the latest news I have as of the 29/May - Greater Union Enter. and Intersound Intern. are selling the speakers for $1000. (Considering the AU$ value of the 4.1 is AU$600 AFTER currency conversion) - there's a mark up of $400, which incidentally, if you order from the States, you can get yourself another set of 2.1. I have called around W.A and the only place that seem to get them is Computer Cash and Carry - selling them for AU$910. Of cause when I called 1 months ago, they were selling it for $799 and when I asked to put a deposit, they told me to hold off cause word out is that the price will drop. Now their reason for the price increase is that Klipsch has increase the price on the 4.1 - which is NOT true. And an increase of hardware price, especially in the space of a month, is pretty much unheard of, unless there's a HUGE shortage. Outpost will deliever the speakers + postage for around AU$700 BUT, you will need to purchase a voltage converter and also there the issue of the warranty which I am still waiting reply on (only ask them today). Micrpro will also deliever out to Australia but you need to purchase money / bank order and pay for your own postage to them if you are claiming warranty. I am NOT knocking Klipsch but hearing of the problems people have with the sub. and speakers, I am not willing to pay 1K for a set that I will not be getting warranty on. Actually, I am NOT willing to pay 1K for a set of 4.1.! I am sad that after year of waiting for Klipsch, I will be force to purchase other speakers cause of the way the dealers are acting towards Klipsch fans and the little notice toward Australian fan that Klipsch are paying attention to. Probably, if anything is done and if the price drops, it will be a bit too late for some of us. For those who are interested, I am strongly considering Altec Lansing ADA890. 4.1, THX and Dolby Digital, headphone adaptor within the speakers PLUS remote control. (not as powerful as Klipsch but I don't think ANYONE would have a chance to use the full power of either Klipsch or Altec anyway). RRP - $600. ** Maybe, if there's enough Western Australians who are looking to purchase Klipsch, we could get together with a petition or something and talk to Klipsch and dealers in AUST, bulk purchase and be able to purchase the speaker for $650 - $700. Sorry I have not replied, I have not been frequenting this forum but been checking out the 'Customer Service' instead - the two dealers that I dealt with were - Network Entertainment ( as provided by Amy) and Intersound international Ltd. (613-836-0522). Both of them priced the 4.1 at $1000 - when asked why Singapore could do it for $680 - their reasons were, Cause we have to change the voltage and *blah blah blah*. Considering Singapore has the same voltage as Australia (240v) - I would say Singapore had to change the voltage on their 4.1 also and yet were able to price it at a VERY reasonable price. Sadly, this is another case of a brilliant product killed by greedy dealers. DoomsDay

Can you all believe this !?? I just called the place that will be getting the 4.1 speakers today and was told that the price on the speakers has gone up.. not by $50.. but by $110 !!.. Making it a total of $910 !! Not to mention that Australia vs US currency is stronger NOW.. not to mention the speakers are hardware and by norm, decrease in value.. especially since the 5.1 has been announced. !! THEIR reasons, Klipsch has themself put up the price on the set, I have not verified this but reading the forum, there's mention that the price has actually been decreased!! - and to make things more unbelieveable, Singapore is selling the set for $650 - SAME price as what Australia is selling the 2.1 for.!! Incase you are unsure, AUS v Sing currency is almost 1 to 1. So yeah, somewhere down the line, someone is pocketing $250 and blaming it on Klipsch. I am NOT paying $910 for computer speakers and I am unsure if anyone would, that's almost 1k !! Which is 50% of the cost of my WHOLE PC.!!! This is totally disgusting and unacceptable, just goes to show that the dealers in Australia and the sellers are a bunch of GREEDY @#$%^&! who jacks the prices up when a good products come into the shore and who themself don't even have the decent to keep up to date with supplying us with decent hardware in general.!! Having waited for a year for Klipsch to come into shore and have this crap pulled - I for one am looking hard at Altec Lansing now cause the price for Klipsch is way tooo out of range for me. Hmmm - I called the dealer in melbourne and they said the set won't be around till September. The price is around $799 or close depending on what sort of currency rate US and AU$ is at. I think paying 1K for the 4.1, although they are GOOD speaker, I don't think I will for that sort of money. I am surprise that Klipsh are not considering their fan in Australia. DoomsDay
